] Date Posted: 30/09/06 15:14 How I love both....and at this time of year so lovely to burn them all over the house. Sometimes when I can't sleep I burn one in the living room, the moon outside and the flickering light soothes me... here is a poem that captures that..... A Good Talking Candle by Richard Brautigan "I had a good-talking candle last night in my bedroom. I was very tired but I wanted somebody to be with me, so I lit a candle. and listened to its comfortable voice of light until I was asleep." Date Posted: 30/09/06 17:54 I never realised how many candles I have until one of Swanwings friends said " Wow, your parents are really like into the candle thing ." I looked around and well there are a lot of them. Pilgrim [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 30/09/06 19:39 I too love candles, the light they create is so soft and subtle, and they produce such a wonderfully warm and comfortable glow, and i love the smell of them when i blow them out too. Whenever i am in need of comfort and security i light a candle and i can never relax properly without lighting one either! love and light Sunflower [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 1/10/06 23:49 Ash, you need an electric essential oil burner. That should be alright with the uni folk. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 2/10/06 12:32 I love candles too but have to be very careful cos Bill either wafts them out with his constantly wagging tail or singes it and sometimes we only notice when we smell the singeing - daft dog! BUA Lil [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 2/10/06 15:45 I have mounted a high shelf in my dining room just for burning candles. Cats and candles don't mix. Our dog doesn't have a tail so it's not a problem, but the cats want to chase the flickering flame. Not the brightest creatures. Pilgrim [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
