Date Posted: 2/10/06 9:37 Lavender - calming and soothing Rose - feminine and balancing Eucalyptus - great for colds, cleansing crystals and general cleaning in house. Orange - love to wipe over the kitchen with this as the smell is so uplifting and specially nice at Christmas in burners etc Jasmine - Just love the smell - it really lifts me if I'm down. Would have put tea tree on the list as it is so useful but both me and my husband ar allergic to it :( Rowan x [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 3/10/06 13:34 Lavender - great for pain relief, insomnia, small cuts and burns etc... headaches, inflammations, skin conditions, insect bites and stings, the list goes on and on lol - tis a lovely relaxing oil too. Tea-Tree - another great first aid kit in a bottle :) luckily I'm not allergic to it cos it's a fantastic little anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral oil! Grapefruit - uplifting and fresh! wonderful for helping beat SAD and it's also an effective detox oil, helpful for fluid retention and cellulite, good for skin care... oh and unlike other citrus oils, grapefruit appears to not be a photosensitiser :) Jasmine - love the smell! I see it's a favourite here in the Garden too. hmmm... last oil... possibly Rosemary although I generally prefer to use the herb to the oil, but I do use the oil in a muscle rub (good pain relief) and mosquito repellant and it's a great antiseptic, antimicrobial oil. On the shortlist are Benzoin and Neroli :) [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
