 Web Marketing & Search Engine Optimizations take consider similar but in a real sense both have different definations.

Web Marketing:
is a core of act to make overall promotion on internet or over the web, including SEO, PPC bidding, email marketing, banner advertisement, Link building and any other tasks relevent to promote an online entity (website).

Search Engine Optimization:
is cover only search engine optimization like as Google, Yahoo, MSN and others. Either it organic Search Engine Optimization or Paid bidding on Serach Engines.
