Subject: A huge thank you to all those who have already signed up to bring along a few things for Saturday!! Wow! The response was simply awesome! We will have maps of the fairgrounds and where the "camp" will be for our new families. Helpful notes inside.

The fairgrounds are quite large, so wear comfortable shoes. The parking area is packed dirt (aka field) and uneven ground. Most is level, but just giving a heads up on that. The weather should be comfortable, based on the extended forecast, might be chilly early morning or late afternoon, might want to bring along a light jacket or hoodie.

We recommend bringing camp chairs for seating; you might want to bring along a pop up, we will have ours set up in front, but if it is going to be super sunny an extra one or two might be helpful.

Our camp is right next to a lovely walking area with stationary benches and under trees - perfect for spreading out. We use the permanent building for a Boy Scout concession (used during the fair) - it is covered and picnic benches (usually linked together with a cable) but still usable. The flooring is poured concrete - no dirt.

The Parking area is further out on the grounds, so it would be best to have a rolling cart/bag - even just to get to the stages. Speaking of stages, they are all covered and most are in permanent covered pole barns - large metal barns where fair displays are. Some of the comps may take place in the open-sided show animal barns - all with concrete flooring and well covered. All the stages are raised and sprung -- and all meet or exceed the size requirements.

All the walkways are paved - either with asphalt or paving stones. No dirt. In the event of (hopefully not) icky weather - a quick walk from building to building keeps everyone dry - and why we camp were we do - centrally located between all the stages.

There are modern bathrooms - no port-a-potties! :D There are two sets, easy walk from our camp.

This feis is really well-run and usually on time, be aware of this - they will move things right along as needed.

For our early arrivals, I will have juice, coffee and hot water for tea set up - with bagels and doughnuts - yes, good, solid DD coffee! :D

We will plan to have the sub sandwiches arrive around 11:30 or so (along with an assortment of salads). Please feel free to dive right in and enjoy!!

Here's to a great day on Sunday for our extended LOQC family!
