It is really amazing to me how many of you believe that Carolyn Yap should have won. It is not in dispute that she is a very pretty girl. However I personally would have been very dissapointed if she won, and in no way could have supported her victory. Any girl that could make the tasteless and classless comments that she made in the NEWSPAPER after the Miss World contest, is not the type of person I would want representing my country. And I happen to know that many many people feel the same way. In my view, Shemille Blake was the only other alternative to Raquel Wright and I would have been content with either girl winning. Also, what alot of you dont seem to realize, is that the event is not all about what you see on t.v. on the night of the pageant. There must be some reason why Carolyn fell all the way to 3rd place ( and tied for it for that matter). The way I see it, Raquel Wright may not have been the prettiest girl in the contest, but ultimately she was the most well rounded canidate.

I dont consider that to be petty shit at all. You see, it depends on what is important to you. You conly care that a pretty girl represent your country. I would rather a pretty girl without a bad attitude. I COULD NOT whole heartedly support someone without tact, grace and eloquence.

Its not a congeniality contest, but poise, grace, diginity and class count for something.
