loving hugs to the Actives

Dear Zeta Omicron Sisters,

I am reaching across miles and time to give each of you a hug and tell each of you "Chin up! Be proud. Hang in there."
You will never be the same as before this awful week, but let the change be a positive one. Time will take the edges off the pain, and you can make the world a better place, despite the efforts of others to spread fear and hate.
As a college band alumnus myself, I was so proud to see you all playing at the hospital in uniform. Not everyone would understand what organizing all that entails, but I know some people did a lot of work, and everybody did their part to bring cheer to those recovering from injury to body and soul. This is what I mean by making the world a better place.
I'm sure it must be very irritating to have members of the media with cameras in your face and mikes in your mouth everywhere you go, but try to have patience. Remember, such as they are, they are the eyes and ears of those of us who weep with you from far away. The world is watching, you are leading, and Sisters you never met are so proud of you! "Go, Hokies!"
Feel free to share this with your Brothers and anyone else who might take comfort.
