The temperature across America is rising and it isn't Gore Global Warming BS. It is the temperature of men and women who have had enough of the totalitarian boots on our necks. I hope everyone has taken the steps to protect themselves and their families. It is far more than the ILLEGALS we are having to deal with now. It is those enemies within that I have harped about for many years. If you have family in law enforcement I strongly suggest you alert them to what is coming.

Subject: The Olofson Outrage

Folks,

This morning I sent the following "heads up" to someone I know in Alabama state law enforcement.

Mike Vanderboegh

NAME AND ADDRESS REDACTED

You will read from the article below that David Olofson has been ordered to prison, even though his case is on appeal. The outrage that this case has engendered among gun rights advocates is hard to over-estimate. The things that are being said on the gun blogs (see my response below the article) is a pale shadow of the conversations we gunnies are having in the privacy of our homes and businesses. Please, get the word out. The ATF has almost guaranteed that someone is going to shoot rather than talk, if they have to take their chances with a rigged trial. How can a reasonable man conclude any differently when faced with the evidence of misconduct in the Olofson case?

The thing that hits home about this is: how many of us have had a semiauto malfunction and start stuttering? If it hasn't happened to us personally, we know someone who it has happened to. And if they can frame a law-abiding Army Reservist like Olofson, they can frame ANYBODY. This hits home, and it has pissed a whole lot of people off -- pissed them off enough that someone is going to get killed. Hell, I don't care if you pass this on to the ATF. Those poor dumb (and today mostly young and clueless) agents need to know their superiors have gone and done something that's a threat to their lives on the street. The perception is now that the justice system no longer applies. Thus, if you don't want to go to prison on a trumped up charge, you might as well die right there and take some of the lawless bastards with you. I am not making this up. It has now come to that thanks to the Olofson outrage.

Reservist loses plea to stay out of prison

A Wisconsin man convicted in federal court of transferring a machine gun has been denied a request to stay out of prison while he fights the conviction.

David R. Olofson, 36, of Berlin, who remains a member of the Army Reserve, was convicted by a jury in January and sentenced last month to 30 months in prison.

Olofson's attorney argued that the gun Olofson loaned to another man malfunctioned when it fired multiple rounds and Olofson didn't know it would do that.

Olofson, whose case has received widespread attention after coverage on the Lou Dobbs show on CNN, filed an appeal with the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and also asked that he be kept out of prison until that appeal is decided.

In a one-line order this week, a three-judge panel on the 7th Circuit denied Olofson's motion to stay out of prison pending his appeal. Olofson is not in custody and likely won't be called to report to prison until later in summer because of a backlog in getting out-of-custody inmates into federal prison.

I posted this reaction on one of the gun rights blogs:

There is a phrase that is often misused by any number of collectivist hustlers-for-a-cause, but it does seem appropriate here: "No justice, no peace." I present it here as more of a sad prediction than a threat, for what the Feds have done in this case by their unchecked misconduct is to take away any incentive for a citizen to submit to their orders -- any orders, even heretofore "reasonable" ones. If you cannot count on a fair trial, you might as well shoot it out with the bastards the moment you see them coming for you. We have moved out of the light of the rule of law and into something far more deadly and dangerous, the darkness of the rule of the jungle. The unintended consequences of the Olofson frame-up are going to get a great many people killed.
