I believe it is called "practicing medicine without a license", a serious crime if you or I were do it, along with many other violations of the functions of a "judge" (using the term with much disdain).
If one cares to read the factual powers of judges, and the fact they cannot make law from the bench, or interpret law (every law must say what it means and mean what it says or it is void for vagueness), look up Title 28, Sections 454 and 459.
We have allowed judges to act as dictators in our rooms for us to hold court, a process, not a judge(s).
