Hi, Jackie,
I agree with you on placing cameras in the offices of politicians. For years I have advocated that every time a politician meets with any NGO or its representatives that it is recorded video and that any that are caught in secret meetings are impeached, and depending on circumstances - such as who they met with - possibly tried, convicted, and hung for treason. Secret meetings are secret because they are detrimental to we people of America.
In my opinion, the major is full of crap. His motivation I would think is not safety, but another means of creating revenue (tax) for government, and perhaps even building up the standing army of de facto law enforcers.
Our people have the right to privacy, and now many politicians are aware of this as they have "been caught with their pants down", so to speak.
I have no desire to go to this vast city of sin and corruption but - no matter - our rights are our rights and we must defend even those of the people that live in this city of sin.
Later,
ed
