Golly gee whiz - someone LIED and the State went wild - they had the excuse they wanted to raid the FLDS community.
Why is it that the *STATE* isn't raiding the CPS offices and the Foster Homes filled with abusive situations and the corruption by those charged with caring for the youth of Texas in the Texas prisons?
"Texas youth prison board ousted amid sex abuse scandal. All six members step down after reports that officials covered up molestation allegations."

This came in from a WGEN reader (I have posted it to the WGEN board) that provides more info that the STATE is not pursuing anywhere near as fast or with so much fanfare as they are the FLDS situation.
Jackie, I normally do not reply or send things in but this is pertinent to what you said and the story. There is an excellent video in this article also dealing with the foster children in Texas. This is a sordid mess and lies from the get to. Here is the link. I do apologize if I did not follow the format you set forth...but this story needs to get out. Linda

Some of you are not reading my words on this very well and are not understanding my position on this situation. I am NOT in agreement with the FLDS Sect in any way. My concern is that this entire operation has been a FRAUD from the git-go and there is a reason that we are not being told about and I still say there is a whole LOT more to be revealed before any of us can make an honest and informed judgment on what is going on. I contend it is NOT the welfare of these children but something that affects the MONEY of certain people. Who stand to gain from this? FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL - not the media false trails.

(CNN) -- Springs woman arrested for false reporting in raid

Authorities were looking for who they thought was a 16-year-old girl that tipped them off saying she was forced to marry a 50-year-old man at a polygamist compound in Texas.
Authorities couldn't find that girl and now we may know why.
A Colorado Springs woman was arrested on charges of false reporting to authorities and is being investigated for her alleged involvement in the call that tipped authorities off to possible abuse at the Texas polygamist compound.
Police say they arrested 33-year-old Rozita Swinton at her home on Wednesday. The Texas Rangers were in Colorado Springs apparently as part of their investigation involving the compound in Texas.
They left and have not filed any charges on Swinton and the Colorado Springs Police spokesman said he could not discuss any aspects of the Texas case.
Our sister station KMGH in Denver found out that this is not the first time Swinton has been arrested on charges of making false reports to authorities. According to records the charge against Swinton was made in connection to calls received by police in February indicating she was 13 years old and trapped in a basement-- all a lie.

The investigation into alleged abuse at a polygamist ranch in Texas has shifted to Colorado, where police said Thursday that they have arrested a woman for making a false report to police.
