In reply to: Cathy F. 's message, "I need some advice. I have three puppies. All from the same litter. Pit Bull/Husky. The one little girl is as good as gold. But the other 2, male and a female are nuts. They are three months old and running around like loonies. I've never had trouble like this before training dogs. Is it their age or because I have three at the same time. Chewing and agressiveness are my biggest problems. I will not give up on them because they are rescue dogs. If you saw how they were living you would not give up either. Thanks" on 12:13:31 10/04/10 Mon

[> I've never had a dog but a guy who did some of our renos last year, got a Rottweiler elephant....er...puppy who used to be out of control. He was not aggressive; however, he has the potential to do major damage with that jaw and teeth. His owner finally got a great dog training video, and you could see the difference in ONE week. Charlie (the dog) is huge, but now you can walk him without him jumping up at everyone he meets. He no longer gets human food or treats , and doesn't beg constantly. Even though you are an experienced dog owner and have successfully trained your other dogs, you might just have met your match. These poor little guys might need special training so maybe it's time to bring in the pros, or take them to puppy school.

I watched the video Dean got for Charlie, and learnt enough so that, even though I no longer see Charlie often, when I do see him, I can handle him much better. (BTW, Charlie is in love with me, probably because he virtually grew up at my house while his owner was working on the renos. I KNOW I spoiled him with food and not knowing how to train him, and I felt so guilty.)

Anyway, good luck Cathy. Sounds like you need it.
