How about looking at people as people & kids as kids? How about seeing other competitors & their parents as just other competitors & their parents? Don't look at them as only a teammate or on the "other team". How about not being so judgemental? How about not assuming that what you hear is fact? How about choosing love & friendship over cruelty, gossip & jealousy? No one is perfect. I'm sure both coaches have their faults. But I also know that they are both good people. Why? Why does it always come to this? Why can't anyone just enjoy pageants instead of turning every little thing you see or hear into a cat fight? I know that I personally try to set an example of genuine kindness. I can't grasp why anyone would want to behave any differently. When I look at a person, I can look them directly in the eye with confidence knowing that I'm seeing them. Not a team, not a child who placed higher or lower than mine, not a skin color, not as a thing, but as a real person with the same capability as myself to love genuinely & whole heartedly. I choose to believe that that's what that person will do. It's faith & we all have it. Faith that humanity is better than what we've been led to believe. Trust others. Be the one to take the 1st step towards genuine friendship. Think before you speak. Make the choice to just be kind.
