Wow, some tough skiing conditions here! I guess that's the story of winter sports. You don't always get the weather you want.

I'm a bit ticked off with some of the foreign press who are so critical of the Vancouver games. They don't mention any of the good things. Oh well. Here is the medal standing as of yesterday:

1. USA 4-Gold 3-Silver 5-Bronze = 12
2. Germany 3-Gold 4-Silver 3-Bronze = 10
3. France 2-Gold 1-Silver 4-Bronze = 7
4. Canada 2-Gold 3-Silver 1-Bronze = 6
5. Korea 3-Gold 2-Silver 0-Bronze = 5
5. Austria 1-Gold 2-Silver 2-Bronze = 5
5. Norway 1-Gold 2-Silver 2-Bronze = 5
8. Switzerland 3-Gold 0-Silver 1-Bronze = 4
8. China 2-Gold 1-Silver 1-Bronze = 4
8. Italy 0-Gold 1-Silver 3-Bronze = 4

Congratulations to all the medal winners. They were tough to get, but you did it! I'm in awe of your courage, skill, and dedication, qualities that will take you successfully through life in virtually any field of endevour.

Well here's another tid bit - as it relates to skiing. Why the blue lines? I must admit I was wondering about them as I watched the skiing last night.
