I am familiar with your stories. I know Harm was your hero because all of your stories were Harm centered but I’m also somewhat surprised to find out that you dislike the character Mac. I am a shipper and IMO, none of your stories bashed Mac. She usually just played a minor and supportive role. Out of the 27 stories you wrote, 24 of them were very shipper friendly. “Three Sisters” broke my heart but didn’t destroy my shipper view because Mac’s thoughts & actions were controlled by Palmer. The note that she wrote when she was in a rare moment of rational thought and left for Harm to see confirmed her love for Harm.

Warning or no warning does not matter to me. I would not complain about wasting the time to read a story that ended up not my liking. I didn’t have to spend a dime on any of the fanfics. I could just glanced over or even skip any parts of the story. I could abandon reading the story any time if I didn’t like it. I could choose not to read that author’s story again. I could wait to see other readers responses before reading a story. I appreciate and admire all the writers who take the time to write and are courageous enough to post and that certainly include you, Laurie.

- Where in the show's cannon does it suggest Mac would do these things to Harm? Let's see no where. You may not believe they belong together or Harm deserves better, but doesn't mean she would do such awful things. There are times I don't think Harm deserved Mac, but since he grew up late in life he turned his life around enough to deserve her. Even then I wouldn't believe he would do evil things to her. You don't have to agree with what Laurie's done, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have the right to write it. As far as whether or not she stays within canon, she's said that she tries, and since, in her trying, she's being true to *her* interpretation of canon, I don't see that it's fair for you to judge whether she's accomplished her goal or not.     - Can you tell me where there is any basis for what she had Mac do in her story in show cannon? The show showed exactly the opposite. She would put herself in danger to keep Harm safe. Unless someone can prove to me her "cannon" is believable. It is undoubtedly way out of character and bashing because no one who likes a character would have them do those things.
