The warning you're quoting wasn't from the author, but from the submitter to the Legacy site (why do I think that's you?). The author's warning was as I listed above. I unfortunately read this story on a yahoo site not knowing what I was getting into & the author's warning was far from adequate. As for the AO, that was changed after all this hoopla--the story was originally posted to the general site. Maybe you should the posts from below to 'get up to speed.' - That's true. The warning and password protection came after all of this. The authors warning simply says she doesn't think she has to do a warning and it's angsty. And what I mean by the violence coming quickly, wasn't that it was close to the beginning of the story, rather that it happened at a fast and shocking pace when it did occur. There were very few if any warning signs that something like that was going to happen. I don't remember dictating anything to anyone. I asked a simple question.   - Minor correction, Theresa. The warning was part of the nomination and posted with the nominee from the very beginning. It's only the rating that was changed. I only meant to point out that the warning was not posted by the author, so it's not relevant to what we're discussing here, as we're talking about warnings being posted or not being post in the author's notes by the author when a story is published.
