Subject: Not really. We get lots of mail addressed to Captain and Mrs. It's a courtesy--it takes a lot of years to earn those stripes. It's the same as military officers off base. It's a courtesy to use someone's rank, especially if they are an 05 or over. Same with retired. They are still (senior officers) addressed by their rank--although most, in all cases will say, "Call me Joe."
