Subject: I enjoy these stories even though I already read them. I have a serious question for you Ladies who write and read fanfictions on Jag. I'll go inside, it'a a long story.

I always got crazy for plots in which the male hero get in troubles, especially when he get hurt. I feel bad when I read these stories, but I can't help continue to read them.
When I started writing my own fanfictions (in Italian, of course) after I'd read ff for almost two years, I always allowed "my" Harm getting hurt. I thought to let it happen, hoping it would do some "therapy" to my obsession. It really did so, in a certain way. Now I can also write a fanfiction in which I can keep Harm safe, but....it's still there. When I re-read Lessons Learned, I fell again.
I've asked myself for many years why I have this tendence.
Why I get crazy when I feel the lead character becoming frail and vulnerable, in need of help. That's often help him to clarify some personal issues, such as the relationship with Mac for example.
I answered in many different ways, through the years, but I'm not satisfied with those answers. I thought a lot about my memories as a child, but I couldn't come up with anything useful.
I wonder if someone there ever felt like me and what answers would have been found about this topic.
I really don't know if I've made myself clear, anyway I hope someone could answer me something, anything. It would be important to me. Thanks. <3
