Subject: Interesting questions! I'm also new to writing, and I've wondered some of the same things. I'd have to say my strong point is mechanics. Ugh! (What can I say, I'm a teacher!) I envy people who come up with great ideas and plot twist. That's why I've had fun with the ficathons--they've given me my topic directly. Sometime I'll have to try actually making up my own prompt!

  • I know my weakness is in being descriptive, I sometimes would give anything to be able to describe a scene with "color" and "emotion" as some are able to do. So far I am sticking to writing about what I know. Be strong in what you know, maybe someday I'll venture into having to really study something to write about it.
