Subject: I'm considering a small cross-over fic, but it would remain mainly JAG, with only a few parts of the other show. Don't want to scare away my JAG 'audience', LOL. But before I'll even get there, a great challenge for me will be coming up with a plot for an actual drama/action & romance storyline, something long and exciting and gripping! So far all I manage to come up with, idea-wise, is fluff and romance.

  • I think you should write whatever demands to be written. If you fight it, you're only asking for a bad case of writer's block. :-) I've rarely done challenges, mostly because I'm usually working on other things, but if one jumps out and grabs me, I'm sure I would. Also, Stargate SG1/JAG crossovers are fairly common. You might want to track a few of them down and email their authors to find out what kind of reception they've gotten. Also, those authors might have some advice for you about difficulties they had to overcome to make the crossover work. (NT) -- Pixie, 16:28:55 06/13/07 Wed
