  • If Harvey hopes to appeal to a wide segment of the fandom, I hope he's open to publishing stories in the romance genre. Otherwise he's going to lose his shirt. He's probably going to have to give a little too on the 'remaining true to the source material.' IMHO the 'wide segment of the fandom' isn't going to open their wallets (even in a hypothetical sense) for anything other than stories centered smack in the middle of Harm/Mac relationship-land, despite so little of the actual show taking place there.   • The fact that so little of the show focused on Harm/Mac is exactly why there's such a market for it, though. If someone wants adventure, action, or court cases, the show gave us ten years of that. For many readers and writers, fanfic is about filling in the blanks, not just more of what we got onscreen.
