Subject: I would make a terrible beta as I'd be inclined to want to change everything. Also, I would hate a beta, and would never use one. I want to be able to do my own proof reading (for simple errors like spelling, homonyms, etc.) As for plot holes, and other weaknesses in the story, that is so subjective. My work is MINE, weaknesses and all. Unless and until I have something ready to submit to a publisher, all editing shall be done by me. Have confidence in your work, usmgrad. If the readers of fanfic like your work, they'll read it and let you know. If you want serious criticism, it might be helpful to join a writers' group.
