I remember a part of the original script that had a scene where Harm is told he has a lady visitor and he says as the door opens. "Mac I told you I don't want any visitors." Then his female anal retentive lawyer comes in and says "Who's Mac?"

So originally he'd had some sort of communication with Mac and told her he didn't want to see anyone. Beyond that, all we saw behind the scenes was everyone at JAG rushing at AJ wanting to help. Mac came rushing up and he said "don't start" before she could even say anything to him.

That's all we saw of Mac. We truthfully don't have a clue what her reaction was except that she was going to say something to AJ. She had one line in that episode. It was "sir?" When AJ told her "don't start". That's all. She didn't even testify.

Next time she sees Harm, she comes to his apartment and asks if he's okay.

  - I don't think we can assume a character didn't do something that would have been logically consistent with their characters, just because we didn't see it happen. The writers have only so much time, so they focus on the main point. We never saw anyone at JAG worrying about Harm, but it doesn't make any sense to think that they didn't.     - I think out of character is not only dialog, but actions as well. For example if Harm came home and beat up Mattie. Now come on, we know Harm wouldn't do such a thing, so it's out of character. Eventhough he's done some pretty bizarre things, his character (as do all characters) still has basic elements that never change. (NT) -- Theresa, 21:43:42 03/03/07 Sat
      - Well that is extreme, though I imagine somewhere there's a sadist fanfic writer out there. But in general, people are capable of a lot of behaviours. If Harm were to do something so bizarre, there would have to be a reason (like he was high on crystal meth that someone had slipped him.) What I'm saying is, if language is consistant, and the story is well told, we would be convinced. We may hate the story, but that is a different matter. (NT) -- Cece, 22:43:26 03/03/07 Sat
