Subject: It's interesting to hear from someone whose first language isn't English. I agree with you about the long, uninterrupted monologues. As for the interruptions, have you noticed how it's rare for anyone to interrupt in screen dialogue? I love it on the rare occassions you see interruptions, unfinished sentences, and overlapped speach in writing and on the screen. (Inside)

I'm not overly concerned, as all writers develop their own stamp or voice in their narratives. But fanfic writing has its own problems, as everyone knows what the tv characters sound like.

I don't have a problem with writing dialogue either, as I can hear the tv characters. But when writing a character's thoughts as the omnicient narrator, it's still more effective to write with the character's tone and voice. I'm usually okay with that as well. It's just that I think my own voice intrudes on the odd occasion where it shouldn't.

Again, it's not a big problem. I just find it an interesting part of the writing process, and like to hear about the experiences of other writers.
