Subject: Well, there was that ep where Webb broke in and gave Harm a TV. That scene had Harm and Mac walking into his apartment carrying grocery bags, presumably to make dinner together. And there was that other ep where Mac referred to him making meatless meatloaf for her. So I can see where people get that from.

Hasn't that only happened once, when Mac stayed over at Harm's in Webb of Lies? Or even, how regularly they hang out with each other socially, having dinner (always with Harm cooking!) and watching movies? Or Harm not being comfortable with Mac walking in the dark... pretty much anywhere! Canon-Mac would not have appreciated such protectiveness, I think.   • They frequently hung out together socially. (Just off the top of my head) In one of the early season episodes they talk about having dinner together, and I think Mac asks if he is cooking or buying. In an episode in Season 8 they come "home" together to Harm's apartment with bags of groceries as if they are going to cook and eat there together. In season 9 Mac asks Harm if he wants to try the new Japanese place, and Harm invites her for a bowl of Pasta, as well as home with him to see Mattie and Jen. They went car shopping together, and called each other best friends on more than one occasion. This is all canon. So their social interaction on many levels is founded with the actual show.   • I think that might be why the lines get blurry on canon vs fanon with this - because we were shown much less than what was actually alluded by their words. Most of when we actually *saw* them together at either apartment, it was for work purposes, wasn't it? I agree that their social hanging out is founded in canon, but its frequency is hard to tell, at least for me. As for Mac's 'we slept together - in the same room' comment of season 4... I always took that to refer to Russia, where they had to share that hotel room.
