"Love Story" was a movie that was produced at approximately the same time--and it was extremely sappy--although tragic, as well. I guess that indicates I'm a "sap" for sad endings!!

My favorites are 1) the story about the writer (Colin Firth) who hides in his house in France, and meets Aurelia, employed to clean his house.
