Subject: I like some angst. I think it needs to be well written, and not be too heavy. There are some stories that have a lot of angst and no real happiness in them, just acceptance that things are the way they are. And some of them are very well written. But I prefer happy endings.

  • I love angst. Well written angst. But it has to be HarmMac centered. I don't really read any stories that aren't HM centered, or I skip past the parts that aren't. Some of my favourite JAG fics have been angsty. They've had plenty of traumatic experiences, lot's that could inspire angsty pieces. But it has to be good. I do not read just romance or only action, I read stories I believe are good (and yes, well written). I do agree that lately there has been more fluff than angst, even in fics that take place pre FWFS, but that could also be because many fics are short one shot pieces, and if you're going to write something short, fluff is easier. Angst tends to take longer to resolve. (NT) -- Ava, 15:33:48 02/23/07 Fri
