Subject: chick can't walk or stand

I have a 4-5 day old chick that cannot walk or stand. This has been an issue since it hatched. When "he" moves, he kind of flaps his wings and drags along on his belly. Vet said it was some kind of "leg deformity" but could not give a more definitive diagnosis. Is eating and drinking normally (have been making sure he has access to both food and water).

Was considering some kind of sling, but not sure if it is appropriate for what is going on or how to go about constructing one.

Here are some pictures: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B7ZB-Uhz3p_RU2R1V1hmMnJ5Z00?usp=sharing

Thanks.
