- I believe this is from "Automatic for the People" (s.10) where Harm is investigating an F-14 crash that killed an innocent civilian who was painting near a bridge. - I was looking at her new site, too. I don't know about you guys - but I was a really good girl today! Hey guys - got the skinny on this weekends podcast at the "Gather Around the Table" website. Her reference to 'join us at noon EST' is just a way of letting folks know when the podcast will be available. It is not "live" (in fact she is scheduled to speak with David tonight) and stays on the podcast page for the entire week until the next week podcast. At that point it moves to the archives. Her interview with David will be about 15-20 minutes long. I asked her how/why she chose David. She said she has been a fan of his for about 10 years and that he represents the kind of role model she wants on her website. She said his dedication to family in the celebrity world is wonderful to see. I think we all agree with that!!! JAG had that unique mix of the military elements, the personal stories of the characters, the wonderful chemistry of Harm and Mac, and btw, of Bud and Harriet, the Admiral, and well, everybody!, and the whole ensemble just 'had it'. And, of course, DJE was (and is) amazing -- he is a mesmerizing, charismatic actor and really carried the whole show beautifully! I started watching NCIS and it's ok. I felt that everyone's a bit 'too cute' all the time. In JAG, there was such a wonderful counter effect of the 'cutesy' with the serious -- it was much more balanced.   - "Cutesy" - that is a good word for it. **The head slap is getting waaayyy old! **the never apologize line - that was used in JAG once or twice has been used in NCIS too many times to count, and the middle school locker room 'sexual' humor is just plain childish. Hmmm... maybe the only reason I like it is there is not much else on. I am not into the reality stuff and many of the sitcoms are well ... not even get me going on them - LOL!!! I have also noticed that many of the story lines are the same as JAG just spun differently because of coming at it from the NCIS point of view and the fact that there is no 'law' aspect. What a fun episode - watching Harm play golf (badly - LOL!) - Palmer - always fun to watch those two together - being 'bettered' by the attorney when he insisted if would take the stand - oh I could go on. Anyway - I liked it a lot - what about you? Do you have a favorite scene? Anything you didn't like? Other thoughts?

Wonder how many takes they had to do to get a final cut? Bobbie and Harm always had a spark of chemistry between them. They played off one another very well. In the JAG episode this week, "To Russia With Love", we meet Harm's Mother for the first time, played by actress Cristina Pickles. She appeared in two other JAG's, "Flight Risk" (S.6) and "Family Secrets" (S.6), and was also mentioned in several other episodes. She has had a long career, and on TV is most known for her work on the series "Get Real", "Friends" and the long-running "St.Elsewhere".

She was recently part of the cast of a completed HALLMARK movie, set to air in the upcoming months, called "Flower Girl", which was directed by none other than Bradford May. Being directed by him was not a new experience for her, however, as he directed both of her Season 6 episodes in 2000, some 9 years ago. As I've mentioned before, that type of continuity is wonderful to see, and still always a bit amazing!
