  • Thought David did a great job, too! Saw he realized right away it was going to be up to him to coordinate reading the bios of each honoree with their award presentation, and I think he accomplished that as best as possible. We could also see people were involved in all of it---listening, applauding, and moving around to take pictures of their friend or loved one. Thought the lady using her tablet for pics was fun! The whole ceremony fit well coming right after David's remarks about his admiration for the military on Cindy's first 'Intro" video. Appreciate both Chuck and Cindy's efforts to get these to us!   Finally!! I'm back. My computer died and had to buy a new one. The learning curve is very long (Windows8)and it will take me a while. However, I got the important "stuff" on it first. So much has happened. The videos from the USO Event were just great. Thanks to Cindy and her faithful helpers.
  I did notice one thing about the event in DC in May -- on David's bio they mentioned Scoundrels would be starting in June. Don't know who to contact, but I figure Cindy or AJ will know.
  Yes, I'm looking for anyone with Windows 8 -- if you have an tidbits of info that might help me I would appreciate it. Now I can get back to voting for "hunk" again too.
  It's been hard following on my Blackberry -- small pictures and I like big pictures of DJE.

  • Imagine you thought this, too---they seem to be using an old bio they got from somewhere, without checking the details. Especially, since in the next paragraph they mention that on June 19th Dad's Home will premiere. And DjefansCommunity recalls that, because of the wonder of having Scoundrels and Dad's Home showing, and I think a couple of other things as well, which meant David was on for hours that week-end! Too bad they used dated info, but maybe that old show business principle applies, that all publicity info is good, whether right or not! So sorry you've had such a time with your computer, but sounds like you're headed in a great direction. As for W.8, we have two stores here that give "a course" in W.8, if you purchase with them.   • Thanks, AJ. Episode 4 of GCB was one of the funniest. Carlene sure made use of that coffee table, but as David said, she did what she had to do to get Ripp's attention. Was thinking about GCB tonight because I was watching Kristin Chenoweth-Live From Lincoln Center on PBS. Her voice is AMAZING. Wonder if David would ever do a musical.   CONNECTIONS:
  In the movie "Police Academy 3", showing this week, David has one scene for a few minutes with Canadian, Ontario-born actor, George Robertson.
  Mr. Robertson has been a busy fine character actor over the years, with his first small role in "Rosemary's Baby" in 1968. He was in 6 of the 7 Police
  Academy movies, along with many other television and movie roles. Now 80, he continues in a few roles, including 2 last year. Of interest, he was in
  the same 1989 episode of "Street Legal" as David, although they did not have scenes together. However, they were together again in a relatively long
  crucial-to-the story scene, in "Holiday Affair" where Mr. Robertson played the father-in-law. As for a pic from "Holiday Affair", even though they're
  sitting at the same table, there aren't any frames where we can clearly see them both. But.....when you see the grandparents applauding David's "thanks
  for the hospitality" speech, I'm sure you'll recall the scene!

We mentioned "Ring Of Fire" only as viewing of possible interest, since Terry O'Quinn (the CAG in "JAG") is one of the stars, plus it was written by the same man who wrote David's previous miniseries "Impact". Also, since David's new miniseries "Exploding Sun" is made by the same company as "Ring...", it indicates we should be seeing David's miniseries on those same channels at some point---good news!   • Hi Anita - If you go to the Filmography Section on this site and scroll down to the Television section and click on GCB you'll see summaries of all 10 Episodes plus clips, as well as the "Extras" that came with the DVD Collection that came out last year. It is very different from JAG, and although David doesn't have the lead role, it's because it is more of an ensemble piece.   Been spending a good bit of time lately cleaning out my photobucket, and ran across this pic in my
  photo library a few minutes ago.

  I first posted it a couple years ago (!) and it came from a nice movie cap Cindy had made. At the
  time, my eye definitely saw a special pic in it. But I was struck again just now, how David looks so
  very sharp and elegant here---timelessly handsome---a quality he has never lost. So here it is one
  more time---for no other reason than perhaps a little enjoyable moment to start the day!

  EXTRA VIEWING OF POSSIBLE INTEREST FOR CA AND US---TWO CONNECTIONS
  You'll recall the recent article about the US channel Reelz picking up 5 miniseries from Sonar, including David's EXPLODING SUN.
  They will be airing that later in the year, but their first one is coming up this week, called RING OF FIRE, about an oil rig eruption in
  a small town, beginning a series of eruptions that could set off the dangerous Ring Of Fire which contains most of the world's volcanoes.
  I mention, because FIRST, one of the stars is Terry O'Quinn, who played the important recurring character in JAG of Captain/Admiral
  Thomas Boone. THEN, this miniseries is written by Michael Vickerman, who also wrote David's miniseries of IMPACT. AND....nice
  to see it is also being aired in CA this week, which is encouraging that we'll hopefully also see David's miniseries in CA at some point!
