  ---2 movies each for US and CA this week, plus a guest appearance, and "JAG" all around.
  ---Good to see "GOOBY" available again, and please note a time range for the showings of "CONFINED".
  The airtime listings were odd, so do check your local listings.
  ---AXS for both US and CA have a "JAG" schedule unusual for them, bouncing around a bit. Stopped S.10,
  went back to S.7, and airing only every other episode, on into S.8.

  • Thanks AJ for the TV Viewings and Cindy for posting. Cindy was very busy preparing the 2012 David-A-Thon and the 2013 Calendars. Great choices. Now I have to choose which one I want. As for the Rufus movie, I'm not sure it's my type of movie. I love a good suspense movie but this is more vampire! There are two more David's movies in 2013.     • It will be interesting to see how it plays! Mr. Schultz insists it is a coming-of-age movie, but to make that theme less common, just mixed a little something different in it. I think in his interview Cindy has posted, he says the boy isn't a vampire, just an anomaly -- Hmmm! I believe David uses the word vampire, and I think I'll agree with him!   I really enjoyed this episode probably more for the fact that it had lots of Harm, but the story was interesting too. I loved the blonde Lt. and Megan. Both brought out some classic looks from Harm. (David at his best~big smile)

  • As always, I loved this episode too. I loved the fact that it was mostly Harm in this episode and I also like the blonde that was helping him.   • Enjoyed this episode. Megan was a very attractive lady and I enjoyed their friendly discussions. Harm always searches for the truth and finds it. Megan's father was killed while he was doing a painting of the bridge. I'm glad Harm was able to obtain compensation for what happened to Megan's father.   • Now, as I was saying before real life's demands so rudely interrupted me---Planes, a flight mystery & lots of Harm---Doesn't get much better than that. Very interesting storyline (ironic connection to Israel & the Iron Dome in the recent news). Enjoyed the humorous repartee between Harm & the young, mystery-buff Lt. Was touched by the absence-of-father connection between Megan & Harm. Interesting that, out of all the pictures to choose from, Harm selected the one that Megan had painted. Found the resolution of the case very satisfying. David's multi-layered performance was top notch, as usual. DJE looks great in everything, but that leather flight jacket look is extra-special.   I didn't care much for this episode sorry to say. (Go ahead - tell me you are not surprised - LOL) I didn't have enough feelings for Mac to care about all her 'issues', especially when she spoke so disapprovingly of Harm always questioning his motives etc. I found her suggestion of Harm's feelings concerning Mattie completely insulting (during flashback). Harm did everything to reconcile Mattie with her father, because that was what was best for her, demonstrating his true love for her.

  • Okay, I admit it. Lest there be any doubt, I loved JAG because I loved Harm. Therefore, although I cared about many of the other characters, in most cases it was primarily because of their relationship to him. This was especially true in the case of Mac, so a 'Readers Digest' version of her 'issues' would have suited me just fine. Aside from learning about the Webb/Hawaii incident, the only parts that I cared about were the Harm flashbacks. Skipping his annual visit to the Vietnam Wall was the ultimate proof of Harm's feelings for her. Considering how little screen time he had, AJ really got an amazing assortment of screencaps.     • Agree, and disliked they felt the need to have Mac inordinately obsessive about her feelings and relationships. Other than that going on a bit, liked the story's focus arriving at the true nature of the Harm/Mac relationship. Interesting the doctor's questioning led to the facts that Harm was the one always there for her and would never abandon her. No confusion there about being the right man! Glad the doctor made the important conclusions about not assuming the worst about anything, but giving opportunities a chance, seeing where they might lead. Mac's recognition interesting about visiting Harm's apartment being the second time she had waited too long, referring to "Adrift II" events, as well as her expressions of regret for pushing him away. Harm's response of understanding, delivered beautifully by David. Quite an expressive episode, especially for Harm, and enjoyed capping. (NT) -- AJ, Tuesday, November 20, 08:57:23pm
      • LOL! I got none of that. The Harm and Mac relationship for all that it was and for the fact that Harm would always be there was comnpletely disfunctional.       • Well, Harm's the one that told Mac he would always be there for her, in that same Hail & Farewell episode. Of course, we're stuck with however the writers want things to be. But that aside, personally not a shipper or a nonshipper, either one, and just enjoy the characters (some more than others!). David is incredibly handsome and talented, and I love to watch his complex acting in JAG or anything else. But as for the episodes themselves, my habit is to take them at face value, and I tend to see the presentation of life situations in the stories that can be interesting and fascinating to me.         • I agree he said it and I believe he always would be there for her - doesn't mean the capacity has to be a commited relationship. Which is what I meant by 'best friends'. Harm is the kind of man who will be there for anyone in his life. He has had so much loss in his life that he can't comprehend 'losing' Mac, but neither demonstrate the kind of love that keeps a commited relationship going.   Cindy posted the TV Schedule for you today, so all the details are there. There are 3 movies each for
  the US and CA, and "JAG" for everyone. To access, click on the DavidJamesElliott-on-TV icon above.
  
  THIS AND THAT:
  ---For Canada CMT viewers, if you're looking for the 2 usual Saturday episodes, there is no "JAG"
  this week Saturday morning. They have pre-empted with other programming, and those JAG episodes
  will be skipped.
  ---For the first time, as you will see on the Viewing Schedule, something of David's has appeared on
  the new Lifetime Canada channel. They are gradually working in regular US Lifetime programs into the
  schedule that is still running from when the channel name was DIVA. Look in your local listings for the
  new call letters of LIFEC.
  ---And on an unrelated but somewhat interesting note, the show on ABC that took the place of "GCB",
  called "666 Park Avenue", very recently had extra episodes ordered by ABC, who then turned around
  this week and cancelled it. Don't care for that type of show, and didn't watch. But I do feel for the actors
  who no doubt worked hard on it, including Terry O'Quinn, who had the great character we enjoyed on
  JAG of Capt/Admiral Thomas Boone.
  
  And....this week is Thanksgiving Day in the US. Have an enjoyable day and holiday week-end, and a

  • Watched about 10 minutes of the pilot of 666 Park Avenue (that was more than enough to learn it was not my kind of show, but the actors were excellent)as all were on GCB, sooo.... maybe they should reunite David and Terry on a new show.   • 666 Park Avenue was not my cup of tea either. According to today's NY Post, their set suffered major damage during Superstorm Sandy, and the ratings weren't good enough to justify rebuilding.   Interesting episode. Not enough of Harm but because David was directing I'll give him a pass ~ big smile. I remember when this was filmed a lucky fan who lives in CA saw them when filming in the subway. She spoke of the dedication David showed as he went from directing to being in the scene.

  • Always liked Coates and the relation between her and Harm. Agree there was not enough Harm, but again he was the "protector" and in the end got the truth. No doubt wearing the director's/actor's hat was challenging but something David enjoyed doing. (NT) -- ED, Thursday, November 15, 10:49:10am
  • David directed this? I'm impressed! I've always thought this was quite a slick and dramatic episode that pushed some great acting from the actors in dramatic scenes. It was a refreshing, cohesive episode that was a welcome cahnge from some of the choppy storylines and episodes that sometimes popped up in those last seasons.   • Agree with comments! I was impressed with David's directing that 'made' this episode. Used unique prop shots, like the office shades, with a great mixture of close-ups, crowds, getting a you-are-there feeling with back&forth between characters, the great overheads, plus excellent direction of himself, as well! Complicated episode, including one outdoor scene. As mj said, "slick and dramatic". Loved the extra info Cindy shared about the fan seeing David's dedication at the subway shoot. That really (!) comes through in the entire episode, and a pleasure to try and show that in the caps. His own diverse performance, though smaller, as usual adds so much and still stands out. Found it amusing when Harm said the building was safe, if you didn't count the assassin who once lived downstairs, considering who played that character. David is such a consummate professional in every area that he raised the level of all the performances in every episode he directed. He seems to have an instinctive knack for knowing the strengths of each actor, eliciting great performances from them, and then slipping seamlessly into his scenes. A very rare ability.   I really liked the episode. A true who done it mystery! Reminded me of S1 were it was more investigation and less courtroom. It struck me when Harm spoke of 'just wanting answers' and that he could relate to the Commander's search. Especially poignant when Mac points out at the end that the Commander will have to pay a price for getting his answers and he says it was worth it - and Harm agrees.

  • Very absorbing episode, with lots of twists and turns. Who better than Harm to understand what drove the Commander to do what he did, in search of the truth about his father. No matter the cost, there is a certain peace in finally getting the answers, for both of them. Love the way Harm seeks out the truth like a guided missile, & always hits the target.   • Similar thoughts. Interesting element thru the story was their finding a way to work with the General's style as their boss. And also enjoyed them working together. Always a pleasant and interesting dymanic. One small negative (just me!) was the casting of Bruce Weitz as the private detective. He's an actor of range, but his performance back in S.2 as the homeless vet they both defended, was so strong in my mind, he almost didn't seem real in this part.   • As Cindy said, only 2 scenes, but what scenes! Initially I visualized catching all the little nuances of them, the caps would be kind of a 'slideshow'. and you'd feel you were there yourself. Sorry I couldn't quite get that to you! But have to say, found the performances of these actors quite moving as I did this. Amazing to see how much Hallee Hirsh has grown in the Mattie role. And it is a joy (!) to see she and David working off each other so beautifully in these emotional scenes---a lot of pain, sadness, trying to let go, but still finding a way to have the joy of being together. Mattie's 'father" does a fine job adding his hesitancy and nervousness, and then pleasure when Harm actually signs Mattie back to him.   • Sorry I couldn't continue before, but AJ's comments really expressed, beautifully, what I was feeling. They say that the true test of successful parenting is to give a child roots and wings. Well Harm most certainly did that for Mattie, both literally and figuratively. Was glad that Mac & the General reconciled their differences. However, although the legal case was interesting, as AJ has said before, Harm is the glue that holds it together. And when he's not around much, the show is not the same. Thanks, AJ and Cindy.   This was a fun episode - even though the story line was pretty serious. Too cute when Harm and Mac were *peeking* in to the General's office! But... I think the best scene for me was when Harm's 2nd chair kept interrupting during the questioning of their clients. The sideways looks from Harm were hysterical! "Excuse me for talking while you were interrupting"~Harm Very Funny!

    • Agree with comments! Have to say, really didn't care for the harsh Mac, the way TPTB wrote her in several episodes of last couple of seasons. Didn't become her character, and toward the end, glad they backed off that. That said, David's portrayal balanced it out very well, dealing with so many (!) different types of characters, all with skill, ease, and humor. That's what made the episode enjoyable for me, as well as this very serious subject tackled in a straightforward and balanced way. So timely, it's hard to remember this was done 7 years ago.   • Totally agree with previous comments - serious subject with lots of humor mixed in. Also found Mac's character wound too tight-like a coiled spring ready to go off at a moment's notice. As AJ said, not a very attractive quality. Loved everything about David's performance (what else is new?) LOL His facial expressions when reacting to his 'second chair' were just perfect. And his delivery of that "Play it again, Tam" line made me laugh out loud. The Bud/Mike/Sturgis storyline was interesting. Bud needing anger management classes was just too funny. I would have liked to have decked that guy too. General Cresswell is still taking some getting used to. Found his blood pressure scene with Coates kind of cute.   I thought this was a very interesting episode. I was torn on the circumstances of the case. I don't feel like the Marine should have had any disciplinary action brought against him. I mean I get that a civilian shouldn't be in a war zone ... but he was a Senator and he asked and then he panicked.

I felt like the Senator thought it would be a good thing to go in Bagdad for his reelection. He took his trip like vacation, taking pictures with the military and forgot that they were in a war zone.   • The strictness of military law definitely seems harsh at times. I guess it was the Sergeant's choices that cost him, regardless of the civilian's actions. I liked their investigations and Harm's prosecution at both parts of the trial, getting to the truth of each one's attitudes and wishes effecting the next in command. In the end, seemed the Sergeant, even though found guilty, possibly wouldn't be severely punished for being affirmed and influenced by his superiors. Enjoyed all the emotions and activity at the beginning with the surprise arrival of the new JAG (#11,#12, like that scene!), along with entire trial story---well done by all! Amusing Gen.Watson's dry opinion that a few minutes with Gen.Cresswell will tell them all they need to know about serving with him. Also at the end commending them for their work, and hoping not to see them again! Really quite a busy episode, the caps lay it all out so well, and thanks Cindy!   • Totally agree with previous comments. Ironically, I honed in on Caps 11&12 too, but for a completely different reason--was struck by how David towered over everyone. Saw a similarity between this episode & the one with the Osprey (To Walk On Wings-Season Six). In both cases an overzealous 'civilian' caused harm to military personnel. In that one nobody died because it was not a battle zone. Could well understand the attitude of the combat troops-war is not an arcade game-people die. Looks like Gen. Glad TPTB had a little pomp in the story, and correctly portrayed Harm as the most senior person, next to the General, doing his job to "present" everyone with his several commands of "Attention On Deck" and "Dismissed". • Harm-a-palooza items: When I returned from my walk, this afternoon, I had a surprise waiting for me: a package from Cindy. What a wonderful surprise. The Episode Guide is just full of information, the cover photos are beautiful. I can't believe AJ compiled all this information. What patience you have! I also received the JAG 6th season Press Kit which is unbelievable, information on the cast members, awards/nominations,beautiful photos of the cast and of course Harm. Also there was an autographed black and white photo of the principal cast members, and a dog tag I ordered. Huge thank you to Cindy and AJ for all these items.
