Because I am 3 hours behind Eastern Time, my husband and I had just turned on CNN as we do every morning when you saw everything "live". I live in the glide plan of our airport and the days that followed was so eerie because you could not hear or see any planes in the air, it was like the sky was morning the event. I've never really heard of or celebrated this day...it's just printed on my calendar. But since it falls on the 6th anniversary of the attack, maybe some of you who know how to post pictures and other fancy things might do something to honor our patriots and the victims of 9/11. Just a thought.

Loved this episode as well! I loved that Harm was concerned for the Petty Officer and his defense yet at the same time performs an amazing feat saving his wingman. So Harm's confusion as he looked forward is understandable - he excelled in both careers. He lived and breathed being a pilot but his gift a lawyer - how do you turn your back on that?

How did you see Harm's turmoil? Did he make the right decision? Did you have a favorite scene?

- Loved the finale of this trilogy. Harm at his best--pulled off a near impossible aircraft maneuver using his Tomcat as well as saving the day in the courtroom. What a man!   - Harm did come to the realization that he had missed too many years as an aviator and although that was his first love, he concluded his only option was to return to "JAG". (NT) -- Bernadette, Thursday, September 10, 05:06:07pm
- I had trouble with this episode because I never understood the Cag's comment that Harm was running out of air (space). Given that and that he really did love the law, his only choice was to return to the law....knowing he could still fly....given the opportunity. - Harm is one determined guy and he pursued his flying again to the exclusion of all else. He did what he BELIEVED he had to do. Not a question of wrong or right decision, he was driven from within. It wasn't his choice to give up flying when he to his other love; the CAG told him he had run out of skies (and in my book, he was absolutely outstanding, doing that), hence his second commendation. - Have to say, folks, it was a pleasure to try and bring these special eps to life in stills/caps. Many favorites, of course (!) but one special cap is the next to last of True Callings, right before the inscription. Wasn't an easy one to get, BUT it is the director who put the shot in the episode in the first place, and the credit is due him. An amazing picture of Harm at the carrier's edge with the ocean as his backdrop........A crewman putting Harm's new call sign "Hammer" on his plane........But Harm ironically alone on the deck at that moment, saying goodbye to his plane and to naval aviation as he has known it. - I am a sucker for all of the times Harm is on the tower watching flight ops! I loved his concern for Skates and his whole attitude while on the PH. Another great episode in this trilogy. I can't even think of a favorite scene because it was all great. I think I might have said this before but just in case ... David is so talented!! Episodes like this really showcase that!

I said this before, don't know if it is good or bad directing; did you notice the effort which Mac made when she stepped down from the POD, to 'adjust' her vest so that her new insignia would be visible? - One of my favorite parts was also when Mac arrived and Harm noticed she had been promoted. Loved his official, erect stance recognizing her promotion. Several times throughout the episode he commented about it and you could tell he was feeling "inferior" as he so aptly put it. The angst between him and Brumby was fun to watch as they couldn't stand each other from their first encounter at JAG. Harm on board the carrier as well as in lawyer mode was fabulous. So - Harm as pilot. Gotta love it!! And yet - the Wing Legal Officer! Poor Harm.

Skates - Loved her! There was a time I wanted to see Harm and Skates get together. She seemed to really get him. Obviously their respective careers would have made it tough but that kind of angst can be fun and promising. And then Buxton ... what about that? Was Harm ever a Buxton?

So what are your thoughts on this one? Favorite? Favorite scene?

- So appropriate to have this episode's screen caps right after your interview you posted the other day with David aboard the aircraft carrier for filming. I didn't notice any bags under his eyes so make-up must have done a great job with camouflaging his fatigue factor from the overhead noise of the catapult. Loved the scene where Harm told Lt. Actress Pamela Tyson has had many roles since beginning acting in 199l, including recent appearances in Oprah Winfrey productions. On CLOSE TO HOME she played a pivotal part as the older sister of the man who murdered their niece in "Prodigal Son". She had no scenes with David then, but certainly with him in JAG Season 3's "The Good Of The Service", airing on Sleuth on Tuesday. This episode had a lot (!) of humor in it, but also a very serious, somewhat disturbing side. However the episode struck you, no doubt that Ms. Tyson was outstanding as the mother whose child was killed in the fighting, and called by Harm as a witness. Thought you might enjoy a few pics of that performance, including Harm's reaction.
