I read over a list of upcoming titles and already had a feeling they'd be releasing the Stephen Sommers remakes, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns and The Scorpion King.
The third in the (modern) Mummy series is scheduled for theater release later this year. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor has Brendan Fraser reprising his role as Rick, but Rachel Weisz elected not to join the cast. The director will be Rob Cohen.

The Sommers DVDs by Universal arrive on July 8th, along with Van Helsing. I checked on his films and he's working on sequels as you pointed out. The big-screen version of Flash Gordon has evidently been put on hold until he is done with them.
