First and again, Happy New Year. Wow! Tall order here. So many goodies. I'll give some of my favorites..hmm, I notice most are famous gems from the Thirties. OK, cut to the chase....well, there were these angry villagers chasing a monster and...no, wait! (Turns out, I resolved to include something perhaps humorous or corny when posting. A chuckle might help these days.)

My picks are: Frankenstein, and Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula (Lugosi), The Mummy (w/Karloff),The Black Cat (Karloff/Lugosi),The Invisible Man, The Wolf Man. Seven classics for sure.

OK, next........ (No joke? No soup for you, or gruel...aah, just kiddin')

Dracula (1931)
Frankenstein (1931)
Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Three seminal classics, ageless and timeless.

The Black Cat (1934)
The Raven (1935)
Karloff and Lugosi, twin titans of terror, together in their prime.

The Wolf Man (1941)
The junior Lon Chaney finds his signature role with Larry Talbot.

House of Frankenstein (1944)
Not up to par with the 1930s classics, but an entertaining monster filled epic with an outstanding supporting cast.

Irresistable entertainment, and the pictures I would first recommend to a newcomer unfamiliar with the Universal legend.

Tim
