Subject: Reported Missing (1937)

An almost forgotten Universal adventure involving airplane travel. William Gargan and Dick Purcell do nice work, and Joe Sawyer is amusing as a newspaper reporter. Jean Rogers, who at the time was famous as Dale Arden from the 1936 Flash Gordon serial, proves she is a versatile actress while playing Jean Clayton, an airline stewardess and the love interest of William Gargan. The following year (1938) she would reprise her Dale Arden role in the next Flash Gordon serial. A good pulpish story with mystery and intrigue, definitely worth a look, especially if you are a Jean Rogers fan.

Another good classic Universal standard film and the only one Jean had dark hair in before Trip to Mars.
