I'm just curious is to why your classic queen has a crown that is the same as the three year old? It just really looks bad that the Mrs. crown is larger than the classic, who is older and more respect should be shown to her. If I am not mistaken that is part of what you state that you are trying to teach the younger girls. The Classic should have the largest crown to show respect.After all, I am sure that it takes a lot of courage to get up there.

This was a great blessing to be with all of the girls in my group as well as all in the pageant! Everyone really did great and I am soooo excited to start the events! Tiffany Petty, thank you for being so gracious after the pageant and a great friend during! Caitlin Tatum and Emily Garmon thank you for cheering me on and being great role models! My biggest thank you goes to GOD for allowing me to be able to be at the pageant! Because of my Grandmothers recent passing we really were not prepared and certainly did not expect the blessing of being crowned. I'm ready for a great year!

Thank you for coming today. It was one of the best visits we have ever had with the Governor. It was the first time that the Secretary of State would meet with us.

Ansley was an instant star at the press conference while others were sought out to tell why we were there and to explain what we do.

I am so proud of each of you and I thank your parents for helping you learn meaning of responsibility and commitment.

As we say, "don't wear a crown; use the crown to make a difference" and you all do just that.

I just can't tell you how proud I am of each of you!

We purchased this dress brand new in a size 6 (they only come in even numbered sizes) and had it fitted to fit my daughter who is a tall size 5 in OTR clothes. The seamstress didn't cut anything, so the dress should be able to be let out. We didn't take any length off - she just took in a little at the side seams and moved the snaps on the halter strap in closer. This dress is ABSOLUTELY stunning on stage - my daughter's favorite by far! We only wore it twice and got excellent comments both times. This dress runs $300-500 brand new and there is a wait (usually) to receive it - now is your chance to get a winning dress right away! There are absolutely no flaws - it's perfect and ready to be a winner for the next little girl.

The dress is made to be short in the front with a train in the back, but by purchasing the larger size and sizing it down, we have it floor length in front with a small train in the back. You won't be disappointed - it's GORGEOUS!!!

I am out of town but wanted to send you guys a reminder about Oct. 12 - Bert's Pumpkin Farm

We will meet there at 2:30 pm - wear your State or National T-shirt and bring your crown and banner. Bring one dozen cookies to share with your sister queens after we are finished. We will go on a hay ride and if you want to purchase your pumpkin there, they have more than enough to choose from!

I know it is quite a distance for some, so please just email us if you will be coming or not. *We can't help the little one's this year. The company has too many requests for volunteers right now but we will still have a WONDERUFL TIME!!!

Let me know by this Friday so we can prepare for you!!! I will send the address later for you to get directions - It is located near the entrance to Amicalola Falls State Park, about 15 miles NW of Dawsonville on GA62..

**Spoke with Jennifer, Liz' daughter today. She is home from the hospital and resting. Her surgery was longer than expected but Liz came through it ok. It was more difficult than expected. She had to have a central line in place of a normal IV due to the condition of her veins. They had to rebreak arm, put a plate/pin in, etc. Please keep her in though and prayer. ATTIRE:
We love having pageant girls and girls who have never competed before. We are looking for naturally beautiful girls with lots of personality and a pretty smile. We highly stress that girls under the age of 7 not wear make-up. The judges will be told to count off for that. Girls age 7-9 may wear light make-up. Do not overdo your child. Girls ages 10 and up are allowed to wear age appropriate make-up. Casual Wear can be anything you get off the rack or hand made. Have fun and make the experience fit your personality.
DRESSES;
12 months � 6 years can wear long, T-length, or short dresses. (Age appropriate)
7- Years old and up must wear long dresses. (Age appropriate)
AWARDS:
Beautiful Crowns, Custom Sash, and Large Trophy for the Age Division Queens. All Contestants will leave the pageant with a trophy. With 70 girls in the pageant a cash award will be included in the Awards for the Queens. American Coed Georgia State Pageants will offer fees off for the new Queens for their 2009 state pageant. There will be One Grand Supreme Queen chosen from 0-9 age group and 10 and up age group. The Grand Supreme will receive Round Crown, Custom Sash, 5� Trophy, cash award if 70 contestants and Gift Bag.
Sponsors: If a contestant raises $300.00 the child will receive a 6� trophy, crown and become a Spirit of Houston County Hostess. If a contestant raises $200.00 the child will receive a 5� trophy and crown and become a Spirit of Houston County Hostess.

What a great weekend we had! WOW!! Laughter, smiles with the MDA recepients, the talent wearing some of your crowns (Rubarb), motorcycles, Lions Club, various fire departments, Mr. Mike, Ken Cook, Keisha, Andrew, John, Bob, Beth, Chase and the rest of the set and MDA staff - parents getting pulled in to answer phones for a little while, pictures, taking so many phone calls and pledges that you had to answer other phones too (that took talent girls!) and memories that will last forever!!!

WOW!! I could go on and on!!

But, without all of you, none of this would ever be possible for any of our service projects. YOU make a difference and we are very proud and thankful!!

Registration for the MDA pageant will begin Monday, July 28.

We will crown the following the following age groups:

Baby Miss - 0-24 months
Tiny Miss - 3-4 yrs.
Petite Miss - 5-6 yrs.
Little Miss - 7-9 yrs.
Young Miss -10-12 yrs.
Pre Teen Miss- 13-15 yrs.
Teen Miss - 16-19 yrs.
Miss - ages 20 up.

ONE OVERALL QUEEN from all ages! This will be the contestant who raises the most money over $100 for MDA and she will present the check on live TV at the MDA Telethon!

All contestants will receive an award and everyone raising any amount of money will receive a tiara!!

DON'T JUST WEAR A CROWN; USE THE CROWN TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!

This is a fund raising pageant for Georgia's MDA. All girls ages 0-up can compete!

All checks collected for this pageant are to be made out to MDA.

It was HOT in Alpharetta Saturday, but thanks to Mr. John, we COOLED the parade crowds off with MGG Cool Pops!!

What a hit!

Thanks to everyone who came and especially to the parents who helped seperate the frozen treats! We learned about dry ice very quickly - ugh, Christine!?!

What fun! Mrs. Guma, Amanda and Taylor walked while passing out the treats and the rest of the girls tossed them from our parade trailer - all 1000 of them!

Thanks again and we missed those who couldn't make it!
