Author: Bri Foster (Lost in Grays)
Subject: Stephen Albert Victor Foster and george Thomas Foster

Stephen and Georgw were on the Exmouth from 1911 until 1913. Their father had gone AWOL from HMS CHallenger in Australia and their mother had died. Two baby sisters went to Barnados and the boys were sent to the Exmouth.
Stephen, my grandfather always spoke of the Exmouth with a certain fondness. He said laife was hard, but I think he felt 'safe' within the discipline.
I would love to hear from anyone who had relatives on board at the same time. They had originally come from Stratford, east London.
