Subject: ~~tip toeing in ~~ I think the thing was they didn't know that Atlantis was in an entirelly different galaxy. Ok, they should have because the Asgard were in a different galaxy for a while, too, and should have told them so - but they didn't - and even if they did they had no idea the gate needed more power to get there. Ok, they should have, but they didn't. And even if they did, they didn't know how to harness that much power let alone use it. Still don't, that's why they are so happy when they find another ZPM. Ok, Carter should have figured it out by now, but she hasn't.
