Subject: Well... gee... I wasn't crazy about last night's ep...

First of all, you MUST have "Captain Kirk" as part of the main story. Second of all, I found it more then a bit crude... and really didn't appreciate some of the "conversation." I was, however, glad they let Rodney go back to being a bit of a hero again. Too bad they didn't let that all go out the window when he was proposing to Katie. All in all, it wasn't what I'd hoped for and was the first time I considered leaving before it was over. Gosh. Somebody QUICK type something positive! LOL!

[> Well, gosh I actually LIKED the episode! (how's that for positive,LOL!!) I found it quite entertaining, and I sat eagerly thru the breaks to see what would happen next. And, you know, Cowgirl Carter lassoing that grappling hook onto the roof on one try was priceless. Yee-haw!! Especially after Rodney boasted that he could do it. I was, however, confused at the idle conversation, not at its actual content, but....these folks make a living a long way from Earth, right? How would they know some of the people that they were referencing? Simon Powell?(that was one of the names, right, I forget). They sounded like they scooted back to Earth once a week to catch American Idol or the newest flick. I mean, I know they want to remember as much 'earth stuff as possible, but if they're a part of the Atlantis contigent, they should be learning about new cultures, not hanging on to old ones. And since when is there a bar in the City? I know the place is big and all, but.....What do y'all think? -- MariMata, after that one piece of criticism, I'm still liking the episode, and Dr. Keller asking McKay out was straight outta left field.
