  Stargate: Wasn't as good as last week, but I really liked having Jack back. That alone made it worth watching. Also enjoyed Vala. Particularly the scene where she is sitting on Daniel's lap discussing his "fate." Referring to Whoolsey as a "Prankster" practically had me on the floor laughing. Too funny. Also got a chuckle over Jack's "Fruit Basket or Gift Certificate" as a thank you from the Ancients. Having said all that... I was COMPLETELY lost at the end and did NOT understand what happened. Can someone give me a clue? Sigh.
  
  Atlantis. Loved it. Lots of "moments." Rodney lamenting he might turn into a giant mutation or become Invisible and Shephard commenting that it sounded cool, as HE turned into a bug! LOL! Then Rodney following it up by asking if they could see him. LOLOL!
  
  Ooo! I FINALLY like Ronan. DOn't like his hair, but he's finally grown on me. ALSO, Elisabeth was very likable in this episode. Wow! O.k. back to Rodney...
  
  Reading minds. ROTFLOLOL!!! ANd Weir? Shephard?? saying there was something easier about not having to actually talk to him! Also, Shephard trying to teach Rodney how to meditate.. too funny.
  
  Really liked how he tried to make amends w/ Zelenka, the tea thing with Teyla was a bit.. much, the book for Weir, healing Ronon's scars (that was really touching). I was waiting for a like scene w/ Shephard, but I don't think they delivered very well on that one.
  
  Oh my gosh.. the "Death Scene" made me CRY! Good heavens! What a tear jerker! I thought I was watching Little House on the Prairie. Golly. I needed a box o kleenex! ANyway, liked the ending. Ronan hug. Rodney reminding Weir she said she loved him, etc. It was sweet. Loved the ep.

  • I need a new VCR. I got SG-1 this time, and half of Atlantis (but since I got to see the greatest kids in the world put on a kickbutt play that night it was kinda worth it). Anyway... What happened at the end - they got Merlin's device through the supergate and are assuming it has killed the Ori themselves, but the armies of the Ori still came through. Is that what you didn't get or was there something else? Is it wrong that I still think Danny boy's hot even as a prior? Which off topic again a little - did anyone else see 24 last week? The boy couldn't stay dressed to save his life! And he's a bad boy! All that said, I did quite enjoy Jack being back and am still holding out for that one time where he and Danny will admit they're each other's best friend.   • I got like a hundred (okay three) calls while I was watching SG-1 so I couldn't get in the groove. I did like Jack back. Why didn't they dial back out of the super gate once they sent the device through so they couldn't dial in? I mean they didn't know if it would work or not, right? I didn't like Danny as a prior.   • SG1's come up with so many ways to invade Daniel's psyche that I wasn't sure what to make of his explanation that Merlin helped keep him separate from the prior stuff. It wasn't unrealistic that everyone doubted he was who he claimed to be, but there were so many potential double crosses, I'm not sure anyone - including the writers/actors - really knew what was going on. As for why they didn't re-establish the wormhole at the end, I think it had to do with not enough power to start up the supergate and then activating a redundant wormhole to keep it open.             • I'm jealous you're going out to the Academy. I grew up in the Springs and used to take a loooooooong bike ride with my dad to the Academy - about 25 miles roundtrip - once a summer.               • Lu and bicycles never quite got along. I tried, but... usually found myself skih skih bounce skih skih skiiiiiiddddding along on the drive way. My dear, dear sister who looking back, I gotta WONDER if she wanted to be an only child, shoved me off DOWN HILL on my very FIRST 2 wheeler experience. .. toward a parked car. I pulled back on the handlebars and said, "Whoa!" but.. it didn't listen. I ended up splitting my head open. My sister tried to hide the blood for when our parents got home, but THEY FOUND OUT RIGHT AWAY! Hey, go figure. Subsequent bike "rides" did not go much better. I then determined sticking with the pony was a better idea.. much to the pony's utter horror. Actually, things didn't go much better on the pony either as his mission in life was to buck me off, wipe me off, or knock me off on whatever object he could come across.   ABC details final three ‘Lost’ seasons

  LOS ANGELES - ABC has set an end date for “Lost.”
  
  The Emmy-winning adventure series will run for 48 more episodes over three seasons. Each season will consist of 16 episodes, which will air uninterrupted.
  
  “Lost” executive producers/showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who have been vocal about setting up an endgame for the show, have signed on to stay for the remainder of the series’ run. Their separate new eight-figure deals with “Lost” producer ABC TV Studio include their services on the show as well as multiyear development pacts set to kick in when “Lost” bows out during the 2009-10 season.
  
  “Due to the unique nature of ‘Lost,’ we knew it would require an end date to keep the integrity and strength of the show consistent throughout and to give the audience the payoff they deserve,” ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson said.
  
  Lindelof said having the end point in sight was “incredibly liberating. Like we’ve been running a marathon and we actually know where the finish line is for the first time.”
  
  Lindelof and Cuse said they’ve had “a road map for the series with all the major mythological milestones and the ending in place” for a while.
  
  “What we didn’t know was how long we had to play the story out,” Cuse said. “By defining the endpoint we can now really map out the rest of the series in confidence.”
  
  There will be some puzzle play, too.
  
  “We sort of view ‘Lost’ as a mosaic,” Cuse said. “Now there are only 48 more tiles that go into that mosaic, and we’re figuring out, along with all the other writers, exactly where they all go.”
  
  In January, Lindelof and Cuse said that they envisioned the endpoint for “Lost” around episode 100. The agreement with ABC will bring the total number of episodes to 120.
  
  Lindelof wrote the pilot for “Lost” with fellow executive producer J.J. Abrams, and Cuse joined the series in October 2004 shortly after the show debuted to big numbers.
  
  In addition to its instant commercial success and large following, “Lost” has enjoyed strong critical acclaim, capped by a best drama series Emmy in 2005 and best drama series Golden Globe in 2006.
  
  While the show’s ratings have softened this season — it is averaging 15.1 million viewers to date — it is the most recorded show on TV, gaining 18 percent more viewers through DVR viewing. It is also a popular draw for streaming replays on ABC.com, iTunes downloads and DVDs.

  I liked them o.k. Liked Atlantis better... but that's seems to be how it's been since the "old" Stargate lost Jack. It's not so much that I pine for his character, but.. the show just seems to lack so severely with out him. Then the couple of times they brought him back (for a few quick minutes) he was acting... odd. The Atlantis ep where he was swimming around trying to save the day (again) and making wise cracks was the old Jack I like. ANYWAY, I'm not crazy over the Ori story... OR the Merlin story, and sure seem to miss those bad ol' Goa'lds or however you spell them.
  
  Atlantis is now in season THREE I think... how in the world did that happen? I sure doesn't seem like it's been on that long. Anyway, after three years, it STILL doesn't seem to have hit it's stride. I sure WANT it too.. but it always seems to JUST fall short. Or am I just being grumpy tonight? LOL!!! Oh my! This certainly isn't very UP, is it. Oh well. I did hear some spoilers. Most have probably heard them too, but if you want to take a look see, highlight below to read:
  
  Carson dies on the upcoming Episode "Sunday." However, it seems his character will be back from the dead sometime in season 4. He is being replaced by a lady doctor that used to be on some other Sci Fi show that I can remember.. but not the name! LOL!
  
  Carter is coming to Atlantis. Teal'c will show up also at least once. Weir will be back but not as much and not in every episode.
  
  And the biggest (and I think STUPIDIST) bombshell...
  
  
  TEYLA TURNS UP PREGNANT. Sigh. Oh my. I really can't believe they are going down this road. I mean. Honestly. Sigh.

  • The Teyla spoiler makes me extremely curious, especially given her response to the person that confronts her about it. What the ...???? A friend in Australia has seen all of this season's SG1 eps. She told me that the remaining eps don't get much better, that the Ori story ends anti-climatically and that the series finale is pretty good. I hope she's right about the last one.     • Basically you missed a Carter-kickbutt episode. In Carter's attempt to understand the Ancient displacement device (the one they used to hide the village from the Ori the week before) and use it to possibly hide Earth, she was sucked into an alternate universe. Turns out that Carter was working on an experiment that pulled our Carter in and their Carter was killed in her experiment's explosion. Since our Carter was there, she was enlisted to help save that Earth and then trotted out by their President (AU of our General) who seemed willing to let civil liberties fall by the wayside, even after the world was saved. Carter wasn't willing to let things stay as they were and contacted AU Carter's ex-husband, Rodney McKay.   • I might be the odd one out here but I actually liked the Sg1 ep better than the Atlantis one this time. This was the first "Carter Ep" in a long time that I really liked. The Ori thing was actually quite de-emphasized and it seemed to be more about the human element. Plus I just loved the Rodney/Sam moments. I kinda got the impression she was hoping the AU Sam's wedding ring was because of AU Jack because her surprise at it being Rodney appeared to be more than just shock that Sam and Rodney had a romantic relationship in the AU. I loved watching our Sam kick some hiney's in the AU. 'Bout time. You go girl! LOL Atlantis was eh. I'm so glad the Kolya arc is finally done and hope the Lucius one is as well, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope on that one.   Well, I just saw about 10 mins of Stargate and about 15 mins of Atalantis. Sick children. Sigh.
  
  Anyway, I will try to watch tomorrow night. In the mean time I have TWO comments.
  
  1) Shippery Do Dah! SAM's password is... FISHING! Oh how SWEET is that. Of course, I was WAITING for a better reference to JACK, but.. I'll take what ever little morsel I can pick up off the floor! LOL!
  
  2) Those were whales NOT sea monsters. WHALES go not count! I STILL want a honest to goodness SEA MONSTER episode. For crying out loud they are in the MIDDLE of an ocean! There's GOTTA be a sea monster! What about a giant SQUID? Have they never watched 20,000 leagues? What about a giant... CROCODILE!! Have they not watched recent (bad) SciFi PREVIEWS? What about a giant... I don't know... DRAGON! They could name it PUFF! There could be SWIMMING dragons! I suppose the breathing fire part wouldn't be as effective.. but.. I don't know. They could do SOMETHING menacing. I want a SEA Monster episode on Atlantis, and I want a LAVISH WEDDING on Stargate. Is that REALLY too much to ask?

  • I didn't watch all of SG-1 - but I think I caught the good parts. I just loved the weirdest jobs line and of course FISHING!   • There were a bunch of great lines in SG-1, but overall, I was bored. I hope things pick up for the remainder of the series cuz I'm finding that the fastfoward button is my favorite friend (same with 24 this season). I like Atlantis a little bit better. Was it just me or is there some interesting chemistry between Ronan and Teyla, like there might be some romantic interest brewing? I know the "whales" aren't really sea monsters, but up until the team figured out that they were benign, everyone on Atlantis was feeling they were monsters.                     • There are lots of ways to get your stories published. Some are like submissions to Reader's Digest for their short stories/funny lives sections. They pay for the rights to publish, but you retain all copyrights thereafter. You can also put together a collection of your stories and submit them to publishers. As for who and where, my best recommendation would be all of them. I know that sounds silly, but sometimes the only way to get anyone to take notice is to send off to everyone. You can pick up a book at the library or bookstore on how to get published and go from there.   Got home too late last night, but did see part of Atlantis. Loved Jack. Seemed like old times. He's such a good character! Loved how they didn't just have him sitting at a desk making a quip now and then. ACTION / FUNNY Jack was BACK! Yeah! Can't wait to see the preshow and all of both SG's. Son had the t.v. this a.m. and I've got too much this afternoon. HOWEVER... moohoohoohaha... EVERYONE will be gone this evening except MAMA!   I finally got a new computer!!!!!!
  
  And, a new e-mail address. I hadn't turned on my old PC for the last year and a half .... and finally cancelled with Earthlink 5 months ago. This weekend I bought a NEW PC and set it up yesterday using a free 3 month thing for AOL (hence the AOL e-mail address).
  
  It's nice to be online again from HOME. I could only pop online occassionally on my work computer. NOW, I can be ONLINE MUCH more often! Be forewarned!
  
  Anyway -- since most of my "old" online friends hang here, I thought I'd post to put my new e-mail adddress out there. If any of you tried e-mailing me over the last 18 months --- sorry! Now you know why you never got an answer --- I apologize.

      Pardon me, but what was the thinking behind removing egg sales on eBay? There are no animals inside the eggs. They're no different than the eggs you use for Sunday omelets or to make French toast. They're EGGS and don't turn into chicks until and unless they are incubated. Requiring the sellers to use overnight delivery is outrageous and unnecessary. Would you require someone to ship a block of cheese via only overnight express? No. You'd let them package it safely and ship as they and their buyers determine to be the best. I see nothing different here. • Just had to share this, no one else could appreciate it. I had a real Luoodles moment the other night. Something important broke, so I got out the crazy glue. The thing being fixed was kind of small so it was hard to hold onto. Just as I had it all set up and the glue applied a fly big enough to saddle came whizzing past and startled me. I ended up with my middle and ring fingers glued together and my thumb glued to my index finger. • I was watching a show on PBS (yes, PBS---there are other channels besides SciFi) and they had a show on called "Rosemary Clooney--Girl Singer" -- Lady C, 18:01:31 03/22/07 Thu [3]

  Richard Dean Anderson will appear in the upcoming movie Stargate: Continuum, Playback Daily is reporting and executive producer Brad Wright confirmed to GateWorld.
  
  Anderson, who played Jack O'Neill on Stargate SG-1 for eight years before entering semi-retirement, will travel with an 18-person crew to the U.S. Navy's Applied Physics Laboratory Ice Station in the Arctic next week to film scenes for the direct-to-DVD movie (story).
  
  Production resumes in Vancouver on May 22, following shooting for SG-1's first movie, The Ark of Truth.
  
  Written by Wright and directed by Martin Wood, Stargate: Continuum is a stand-alone time travel story that continues the adventures of SG-1 beyond the show's tenth season. The movie is expected to hit DVD shelves in North America this fall.
  
  The SCI FI Channel in the U.S. will air the final 10 episodes of Season Ten -- including a guest appearance by Anderson in "The Shroud" -- starting Friday, April 13!
