[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Pets... -- PB, 20:51:19 03/25/07 Sun [1]

She adopted a Siamese cat after they did surgery on him for a urinary blockage. She still has her emotionally needy cat.

She's fostering an Italian Greyhound. She has an American Boxer (like Chase/Micheal J Fox on Disney's Homeward Bound movie) whom she would like to give away. Do you need another big dog? Please please
She has rabbits and a lizard. All these are rescues of some sort. She gave away her birds. Too many animals. Luckily, she is not living in our house.
We, on the other hand are more reasonable in our pet acquisitions, and have a Sheltie and 3 cats.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> No no no no no n o no more dogs! No no no no no! LOL! I'm trying to find homes for TWO now. Not mine, I'm just the go between. I have an English Cocker and a St. Bernard mix w/ emotional issues. LOL! Both need to go to single doggie homes where they can get lots of one on one. I've baby sat these dogs often and they really are wonderful. Just.. not quite.. ummm.... there. LOL! The cocker doesn't like children, the St. Bernard HAS SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS. I'm not kidding. Really. I could right a book on this dog alone. I will be baby sitting him.. and folks will come by..and he'll bark at them and really try to get my attention. INTRUDERS!! Intruders! Look There HERE! In the HOUSE! Bark bark bark bark bark. Then he decides they're just more people and lays down and takes a nap. 5 minutes later, he wakes up. Looks at the SAME people.. and goes bonkers! There's PEOPEL! In the HOUSE! Alarm! Alarm! and then he sleeps some more.. and repeats about 40 times. -- Luoodles, 21:04:43 03/28/07 Wed [1]

[> [> [> Hi C! (Got Juice?) Just had to say that for old times sake! LOL! Hey.. do they even SELL Hi-C anymore? ANYWAY.. If it makes you feel any better, that picture was from LAST spring. We currently have an inch of snow outside with more coming.. Just in time for tomorrow! I'm having a combined birthday celebration for Child O' Mine (Sweet 16.. can you believe it??!!!) and my Mom. I've got a ton of folks coming, a ton of food cooked, a cake that's practically the SIZE of Child O' Mine and..... there is snow, sleet, and freezing rain with more on the way. Oh wonderful. Sigh. I've a feeling we will be eating this cake for a loooooong time. Not to mention all this other stuff I've got cooked for a veritable army (farmers). -- Luoodles WHY IS IT SNOWING THIS LATE IN MARCH???? And yes, I know.. it snows in March.. but.. [> [> [> [> [> [> It was 48 here today and it felt like TEN. The wind was practically blowing the roof off my house, and my baby chicks were blowing around the yard like LEAVES. I had to gather them all up with thier EXTREMELY irrate and all but hysterical mama hen, stick them in the cat carrier, and put them in my basement. The hen started clucking tonight during "Dancing With the Stars," and I'm turning up the t.v. in hopes Hubby doesn't hear them and discover I have now put CHICKENS in our house. [> [> [> [> [> [> Oh golly, Kat. I bought too much CAKE. Sigh. I don't know. I seem to never judge this correctly. I either get too little, or too much. This time.. oh my. I have half of this big cake left that was practically the size of Child o Mine. I think what happened is I had all this ice cream w/ all these toppings.. and most folks ate THAT and just had a little piece of cake. We will be eating cake until the end of TIME. Plus, my son's beagle decided she had WINGS and decided to leap from the back of the couch to the TABLE where the cake was. I don't know WHAT possessed her ... there was just no way she could have possible made it. Before we could stop her she was airbourne. She made it about half way and then SPLAT! Spread eagle on the hardwood floor. I thought she had KILLED herself. She seems fine though. CRAZY DOG. All my animals are insane. Gosh. Maybe it's from living with me! [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Well... I'd love to. But.. WHAT publisher? Who? Where? and HOW? It SOUNDS easier then it is. I can't figure out how to do it without 1) paying someone big bucks, or 2) "selling" my stories for a pitance and them owning the "rights" to them. Good golly, for $50 I'll just keep them for my children. They can use them against me when they want to lock me up in the old folks home! [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> There are lots of ways to get your stories published. Some are like submissions to Reader's Digest for their short stories/funny lives sections. They pay for the rights to publish, but you retain all copyrights thereafter. You can also put together a collection of your stories and submit them to publishers. As for who and where, my best recommendation would be all of them. I know that sounds silly, but sometimes the only way to get anyone to take notice is to send off to everyone. You can pick up a book at the library or bookstore on how to get published and go from there. Your stories are good and should be seen outside of our little universe. :-) -- KatRose, 09:16:23 03/26/07 Mon [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Also - there are several ways to self-publish without the outlay of costs there used to be - its still "vanity publishing" but there is more and more movement towards that kind of thing these days or so it seems... I would assume it works best for people who are "known" online - and while not everyone still hangs around places to find out too quickly, I'd reckon theres enough of us folks who would certainly buy a Luoodles book.... now we need to come up with a name for Lu's first book =) -- Aria, 18:52:33 03/26/07 Mon [1]
