Subject: (Off Politics) "I Am A Roving Gambler" The Brothers Four 1958/1959

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

Heard often on "The Country King" KFOX/1280am and KFOX/fm 100.3. This was a classic of a gambling man which was of folk country for which I liked and enjoyed.

I especially remembered this Brothers Four classic heard on KHJ/fm 101.1 sometime during the month and year of March of 1966. This is when KHJ/101.1fm would return to the formatted "CAVALCADE OF HITS"/"YOUR HIT PARADE" format on its very own.

At the time the simulcast was ended as both sister stations developed a separate programing from one to the other.

KHJ/930am would remain with its all time TOP-40 Rock format of 'Boss Radio".

While KHJ/101.1fm returned to a format which was abandoned by both radio outlets during May of 1965..

Thus the revival of the late 1940s/1950s and 1960s format of popular music/some country/some folk-country/some big band and little of jazz. "AMERICA'S SONG-BOOK" of the "Cavalcade of Hits"/"Your Hit Parade"... Compliments of KHJ/101.1fm, March of 1966.

The only simulcast of both sister stations was of the 20/20 news format and programing as recalled and remembered at the timing of events.

KFOX/1280am and KFOX/100.3fm would playlist this Brothers Four song of a roving and gambling man often!!

(THUMBS-UP!!!!)
