Hey Mands, That is super that you are doing this!
I think that you should STRESS the importance of calcium supplements for the hens, when I first started out with buttons (years ago) I bought my first few birds from a petstore, They had been deprived of calcium and on a seed only diet *ARGH* and It wasnt long before the hens all passed away, I know for most of us feeding is a *general* thing... but people just dont seem to realize that they need theses little extras and that seed is in ADDITION to a decent game bird crumble
Are you doing a section on hatching chicks also? I think its very important that people know not to introduce seed etc for a few weeks as well, there have been way too many posts on the other board from people who have lost their chicks from impaction :)
anyway ..you probably have all these topics covered anyway, but they are things that I wish I knew when i started with button :)
Ps. If buttons are to be close banded, (which I do with mine) Its best done at about 10-12 days old ....useless info , I know, lol
