And won't a few varieties of finches interbreed? Thus spicities, etc? I had society finches and enjoyed them. I'd like to do something more exotic ... like owls, javas, and gouldians. The gouldians are supposed to be harder to breed or raise, but the socities will foster the eggs well. I think a big aviary like Bonnie described would be WAY cool. I need a lot more funds at my disposal for avairies and bunny hutches!! (Getting Netherlands this week ... uh oh.) And with a cool aviary for the finches, I could have buttons in the bottom ... I loved watching the buttons at the botom of the aviary. It balanced out the whole thing.
