WELL, there was a really beautiful lawn on the side of the house, where actually there are two cement strips that go to the back where the garage is! The little old lady that lived there wasn't driving for so many years that she let two mulberry trees get HUGE to the point where you couldn't drive to the garage on that side anyway, you'd have to go down the other side and around the back of the house. SO that side where the trees were had the best lawn, then the other half of the front yard was very nice. The back was lush and green, just a lot of clover and weeds.....WELL, the sprinkler system is still not working....luckily that was part of the boasted 'upgrade' on the house so it is covered and now I have to make time to have someone look at it. So now all the brown dead grass is a mess.....sadly....but should make for better rototilling and planting of new better grass seed this winter. As for the back half of the property, I was glad that was kept cleared. I managed to grow a HUGE, no joke, side to side, fence to fence, tumbleweed farm on that entire back half. OH and mustardweed too. I got that all cleared up and now that will be kept cleared and plowed down, even gonna use round up if I have to since I have some stubborn trumpet vines that keep growing very very well and thick and green even without water. Funny thing, if I wanted to grow those stupid trumpets on a fenceline or something, they wouldn't have grown for me!!! So I stick to plumeria.....gonna actually put that in the back as a liner along the fences on the sides once the goats are housed in their own separate enclosure which should go up by the end of November.
Thats' the latest from the mini farm :)
