- I love this girl!!! Thanks for posting. (NT) -- No name, 11:33:15 11/20/09 Fri
- Love her too. (NT) -- No name, 11:37:22 11/20/09 Fri
- Puerto Rico has been overhype more than Virginia. Puerto Rico is not that pretty. (NT) -- No name, 11:44:06 11/20/09 Fri
- I like her better in these candid pictures than when she is all glammed up. (NT) -- No name, 11:46:15 11/20/09 Fri
- One of the things I like about Miss PR is that she is beautiful from all angles. Was just looking at the pics on the PR voy board, and she is astoundingly gorgeous. (NT) -- No name, 12:13:35 11/20/09 Fri
- We don't all have to agree. Afterall, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. However, I've seen many people here complaining again and again that "this is not just a BEAUTY pageant"....so, why do you care if she's not THAT pretty?? (NT) -- Philly Ga-Ga, 12:43:13 11/20/09 Fri
- Looks like Miss PR has gotten some new extensions. (NT) -- No name, 13:03:20 11/20/09 Fri
- She is beautiful person inside and outside. More beautiful photos of her on facebook. I think a lot of person will be surprised with her talent. The best figure on a swimsuit and best of all her beauty is all natural. The total package. (NT) -- Sheila, 14:05:25 11/20/09 Fri
- I am not sure what what else this girl has but beauty she has 10 fold! (NT) -- No name, 16:38:32 11/20/09 Fri
- I also think she is a beautiful woman, but something about her makes her look older . gorgeous but older. (NT) -- speedie, 21:19:03 11/20/09 Fri
- she is by far the prettiest ever. (NT) -- No name, 21:29:38 11/20/09 Fri
- Reluctant to post this because bashing will probably ensue, but...met her at a "meet and greet" at MAOT and wanted to hate her because of the hype...but she was so friendly and sincere I just couldn't. (And I'm nobody, so there was no reason for her to fake it.) I found her to be extremely beautiful in person, but there's more to her than that. Hard for me to describe my first impression, other than to say she has "star quality," that elusive thing you're either born with or you're not. (NT) -- Just my impression, so no need to bash the girl to neutralize it, thanks!, 23:19:52 11/20/09 Fri
- We appreciate your opinion, which in this case is more valid than 99% of people here because we, yes I said we, still haven't met her. Thruth is that she does look very well put together, and a lot of people are hesitant to that. I guess we have been trained over the years that a beautiful girl shouldn't win Miss America, because is a Scholarship Program. Therefore "beauty=dumb?" I think that the girls should get rid of the orange-color spray tanning, let their hair grow out (no more MAO Bobs) a fresh young evening gown, good talent, and foremost facial beauty. Someone that demands your attention. Otherwise, skip the pageant and let the girls write essays. Afterall, most people here could care less for beauty! (NT) -- No name, 00:08:49 11/21/09 Sat
- Facially, she reminds me of Heidi Klum...only the Latin version. (NT) -- How can you go wrong with that?, 00:12:28 11/21/09 Sat
- Love her tan (NT) -- No name, 05:58:10 11/21/09 Sat
- She's Lovely (NT) -- No name, 11:50:13 11/21/09 Sat
- If PR doesnt change a thing and she keeps being all about BEAUTY, BODY, FASHION FORWARD and MARKETABLE and "does" become Miss America, she will rise in and instant to celebrity status. In between of her normal Miss America duties she could easily be invited to any award show, be the cover of any magazine, be on every morning/afternoon/late night show, have a guest appearance in any prime time series, land a contract with any cosmetic brand, go down the runway for any designer and who knows maybe her win as the first Hispanic will create a pandemonium like Obama and Sotomayor did and why not get featured in Times...who knows...I just think she has not only beauty but the potential to become a major hit because of her diversity to adjust in the media, she could bring MAO a major KABOOM and Trumph will just keep blabing with his scandals and cheap publicity moves. The girl is beautiful, smart and talented...who knows... (NT) -- No name, 12:40:30 11/21/09 Sat
- And next she will compete for Miss USA after becoming Miss America, then maybe she will be Miss Universe! (NT) -- Hum!, 12:47:11 11/21/09 Sat
- Good heavens, you have lost your mind! Yes, she is a pretty girl, but not in any stretch of the imagination is she an exceptional beauty to the point of garnering all the attention you are imagining for her. This is not a bash on MAO, but Miss PR is not even up to the beauty standards for Miss USA contestants. There are many, many, MANY state USA contestants who are much more beautiful than this girl, not to mention the Universe contestants (Mexico, Brazil, to name a few). The only extra attention this woman would get would be because she is Hispanic and because it would be a first for Puerto Rico in the history of MAO. (NT) -- Pretty girl, but let's not get carried away., 13:42:03 11/21/09 Sat
- You are right. "Miss Puerto Rico has the "it" factor to become the major hit in Miss America. Is not the first time that Puerto Rico or a Hispanic compete in Miss America. (NT) -- Sheila, 14:29:36 11/21/09 Sat
AGREE , TOTALLY a smart move for marketing plans for MAO. PUERTO RICO is a natural beauty. When she puts on the glamorous make-up and clothes she stands out.All the other contestants do the same thing.Anyone can put on glamorous make-up and tan... She is Naturally pretty,Bi-lingual,Approachable,likeable,well spoken. Our country has a LARGE spanish population. The Cosmetic, clothing, industry would soar.,and so would the POPULARITY of the MISS AMERICA PAGEANT.Statisical FACTS. (NT) -- on looker, 15:19:03 11/21/09 Sat
- She absolutely does have the beauty to compete in the Miss USA arena. She has great bone structure and certainly has the it factor. Look how much attention she has received so far and its only going to get more intense as the pageant gets closer. (NT) -- inmyopinion, 15:07:14 11/21/09 Sat
- I'm sorry, but imo she does not. Have you seen some of those latina bombshells? I don't think Mimi would even make top five at Miss PR Universe. She has not even rated a mention on the USB board and generally they comment here and there about any of our girls who they feel are exceptional. (NT) -- She receives a lot of attention on this board, but that's about it., 16:25:29 11/21/09 Sat
- Who cares if she receives any attention on USB. (NT) -- No name, 16:34:51 11/21/09 Sat
- I used to visit USB too, but they are mostly about Miss Universe now, and I have no interest in that whatsoever. (NT) -- No name, 16:39:49 11/21/09 Sat
- I was very fortunate in that one of my local Hispanic stations carried the Miss Puerto Rico Universe pageant last weekend. I got to watch, and I will say this--Miriam is about par for course what the other contestants look like. Maybe she stands out in this system, but there, she's a dime a dozen. By the way, the new winner, Mariana Morales, is lovely. If she won Miss Universe I'd be thrilled. She looks more Eastern European that anything, but she's very pretty. She also got booed for some reason while answering her final question, I'm not sure why. I don't speak Spanish. (NT) -- No name, 18:24:24 11/21/09 Sat
- O.K. let's look at it this way. Say Mimi wins, MAO is on every front page. Yeah!!! And the following year? What do we do to follow that act? Sure she should win along with the rest of the class of 2009, but seriously, too much hype and it may dilute her chances. What do ya' think? (NT) -- No Name, 17:18:29 11/21/09 Sat
- Some of her bashers say that there are other contestants that are as media attractive as her. I say that its not just the fact she is more beautiful but I still havent read that any other contestant is a professional model, host, actress, etc. I mean reading PR's bio the girl has done major commercials for big brands. And lets clear things up we are talking about media-marketable-related. I hope she does well in interview she seems to look good in the spanish ones. Her talent just has to be average and she will make the cut with the rest of her performance. (NT) -- No name, 11:23:49 11/23/09 Mon
- I really liked her, until she became over-hyped (i.e. posts like this ALL THE TIME), and now I'm honestly just sick of seeing her and hearing about the issue. I watched Miss PR and her talent is not competitive. So she's gorgeous. Yes, that is undeniable. However, her English is also not, although she speaks very well, something that is going to win her the competition. MA is not won on looks alone, as has been proven many times over in the past. I'd say if she wants to win, she needs to work on the other areas of competition, and everyone needs to stop hyping her so much... that only gets people's expectations up and sets her up for failure. (NT) -- IMHO... over PR., 12:09:21 11/23/09 Mon
- Total clapper. All beauty and nothing else....and I mean NOTHING else. (NT) -- Sorry, maybe next year for PR, 13:33:17 11/23/09 Mon
- What's her talent again? (NT) -- No name, 21:41:35 11/23/09 Mon
