Elyse Wojciechowski, Oak Creek, succeeded Cassandra Allen as Miss St. Francis 2008. She was sponsored by St. Francis Lions Club, won the $2,500 scholarship and the $100 Pageant Promotion Ad Sales Award, in addition gift and services packages from Andare Fitness and From Hair On salon, and other gifts totaling over $3,000. Elyse will represent the St. Francis area at the Miss Wisconsin Pageant June 15-21, in Oshkosh, WI and in many area public events throughout the year

1st Runner up and winner of a $1,500 scholarship was Tonya Popowski, sponsored by ESI Consulting from Cudahy. Katelyn Colvin of Cudahy, sponsored by Beer Belly’s Food & Spirits was named 2nd Runner Up and won a $1,000 scholarship.

All other contestants were awarded a $300 scholarship, they were Justine Gestwicki (Cudahy) sponsored by National City Bank, Ann Hancock (South Milwaukee) sponsored by Advance Products, Mary Kappus (Cudahy) sponsored by Bella Grace Tanning Salon, Stephanie Obst (St. Francis) sponsored by St. Francis Dental Center, Justine Swenson (South Milwaukee) sponsored by PDQ Tooling and Dawn Wozniarski (Oak Creek) sponsored by Dom & Phil’s DeMarinis Pizza.

In addition to the above, special scholarship awards were presented as follows: Mary Kappus - Rob Schneider Interview ($200) and Memorial ($100) Awards; Joanne Gestwicki - Robert R. Freimuth Talent Award ($200); Justine Swenson – George P. George Miss Congeniality Award ($200); Stephanie Obst – Pageant Promotion Ticket Sales Award ($100).
