Subject: LWF River Fest Seeking Contestants

Our pageant will be held on Saturday, June 17th at
the beautiful Worthington Park and have indoor
facilities available to us should there be less than
ideal weather that day. We are located 10 minutes south of Fairmont and about 15 minutes north of Clarksburg. We offer beautiful prizes for our contestants and finalists. Our entry fees are also affordable and you can seek sponsorships should you need to do so.
Our pageant is open statewide.
Our levels of competition are:
Photogenic Baby - ages newborn to 4. Entry fee is $15.00 Judging is based on submitted photo; however,we are offering specialty sashes for on stage categories and trophies for those who participate in our decorated stroller/wagon competition.
Little Miss - ages 5 - 8 years. Entry fee is $20.00.
Little Miss is chosen when she selects a special flower from a bouquet of sealed flowers. There is also Little Miss Photogenic, Little Miss Congeniality and a Stage Presence Award to be presented.
Jr. Miss - ages 9 to 12. Entry fee is $25.00. She
competes in personal introduction, personal interview and stage presence.
Teen Miss - Ages 13 to 15. Entry fee is $40.00. She
participates in personal introduction, personal
interview, stage presence and essay.
Miss LWF Riverfest - Ages 16 to 21. Entry fee is $60.00 She particpates in personal interview, essay interview, stage presence and final question. She will be our representative at WV Fairs and Festivals and will be presented with $1000 scholarship/cash award.
Because of festival is an extension of our watershed
association; which is dedicated to the preservation
and restoration of WV environment, we add the essay
requirement. Essays are judged anonymously and every
contestant that participated in the past have stated
that the essay portion of competition has been one of
their most favorite parts.
I will gladly include information to assist you in the composition of your essay and help prepare any contestant for competition. We want everyone to compete at their best.
All contestants are awarded beautiful prize packages and
you will have a great time.
Our application deadline in Friday, June 2nd.
