Subject: One year ago today

I lost my beloved siamese cat, China; she was 19 years old and I'd had her since I was 15. She'd been with me growing up, getting married and having children. She had gotten sick the day I was moving, her hind legs gave out- I thought she had jumped and injured her hip, but then she quit eating and drinking by that evening. The next day her beautiful blue eyes turned green and the whites of her eyes yellow from kidney failure. I knew then she was dying and I would never see her beautiful blue eyes again. After watching her deteriorate that weekend, I brought her to the vet Monday morning and the vet decided she was dying and to put her to sleep. I am glad I was there beside her, but it's not like the movies where the animal dies peacefully. I think about her everyday and miss her terribly. I can't believe I lost my baby one year ago today. I love you China and you will forever be in my heart. You greeted me everytime I came home from wherever I know you will greet me when I see you again when it's my time to leave this earth.
