i had the same thing happen to my dog we were told she had spine trouble and the vet wanted her put to sleep she was in bad pain but i begged the vet to give her steriods he did notb want to but he gave in and gave her some anyhow the pain all went and she went back to her old self for 3 months then one night she lost the use of her back legs she was horified she coud not even go outside to the toilet she was in awful pain i loved her so much i found it very hard to let her go but i lost her in the end anyway i had her put to sleep i know its the best thing to do and i also know i should have listened to the vet the first time she was one in a million to me you did the right thing try not to be hard on yourself like me it was taken out of your hands there was nothing you could do take care the pain does ease given time
