Sappho, my beloved 20 year old cat, died unexpectedly the same day your baby did...and the way you described missing her tears me up...i feel exactly the same...she is the favorite animal of my whole life, and the only one i am having cremated because i cannot bear the thought of being without her, at least on some level...

For 20 years, i dreaded the day that i would have to wake up in the morning and know that she is gone forever...Friday morning was that day and it sucked as much as i thought it would...this weekend has passed in a blur of sadness, mingled with acceptance and gratitude...but i can't sleep until i almost pass out, because everytime i close my eyes i start thinking about the whole thing again...

They say that we will get over it, and i expect we will...i will send you loving thoughts...good luck
