I am so sorry for your loss. It is such a heart wrentching thing to lose a pet, and especially difficult to have the added heartache of having to make the decision that you had to make. I am very glad that you were strong enough to hold your little love in your arms as she passed on. Her little spirit was able to go to the other side with the last thing she felt was your loving arms around her. I had to have my cat Mabel put to sleep 2.5 weeks ago and I didn't have the strength to stay in the room w/her. I tried, but at the last minute I had to leave. I regret that so much!!!

I know what you are going through. As you pull up into your garage and Dorie isn't there w/her dollie rushing to greet you. Looking at certain places in the house where your little love liked to sit. Or her little toys still strewen about the house. You don't sound sappy, you sound like a very loving 'dad' that misses his little girl.

Now you have a very special guardian angel that will always watch over you and that you will one day meet again. My prayers are with you, your wife and baby Dorie. Grace
